Help Galaxy S3 switches off

Its not normal that a phone just switches off.

There are so many things it could be. Its worth checking that the battery contacts don't look out of place too. It could simply be the battery being bounced out of place.

If it keeps happening though, I'd be tempted to suggest a factory reset (to rule out software) and perhaps contacting your provider about the fault.

Hi Grant. I moved your thread to the Galaxy S3 forum for you. Maybe someone here has an idea.

Does it always shut off in your pocket? Could you accidentally be pressing the power button when you sit?
My wife who also has a Galaxy S3 asked me tonight " does your phone turn it's self off "? Of which I said YES. What are we doing wrong?

I'm having an S3 freezing and switching off problem recently too.

I have posted about it earlier today

I had asked the provider for a new SIM

i tried master reset.. it seemed to be ok..for a few hours ...then i restored a few things and its doing it again

is there a way of logging the last thing the phone was doing before switch off?
