I noticed while watching the iPad debut, one of the "tentpoles" was GOOGLE maps. What if google and adobe both completely pulled their product off of apple machines? How do you guys think it could possibly affect Apple, Google, and Adobe, respectively?

Will never happen. Google makes far too much money from the 50+million iPhone users. Adobe is so mad Apple has blacklisted them, they have resorted to name calling. Kinda like you :)

Apple have tried (and will fail) to stop their users having anything to do with Flash, and probably the whole of Adobe eventually. All this because Steve Jobs arrogantly believes he knows what's best for the entire market.

Exactly. I'm quite frankly surprised anyone in their right mind would support a company with such restrictive and draconian methods/business models, and believe anything that flies out of that guys mouth like it's gold.

Actually it's more about money. Users would be able access tons of games for free with flash, thus killing a lot of game sales in the app store. Of course he's pushing html5 too as Apple are involved with it and it is the future, although flash is he present. Does it REALLY effect you though? Its simple. If you don't like the product, don't buy it. Why do you care what other people do so badly?

1.)Html 5 is in the distant future. 10 years is it's projected completion date.

2.) Html 5 will not replace flash. Those that say it will, have not worked with flash, and have no understanding about it.

3.) Stevies nailing another one in the coffin for not including flash. Why? Developers are going to make games for those that do, like Android, win7mob, webos(i think) and other os's i don't know about.

And if you don't like android, why buy it?

Everyone else has managed fine to co-exist with Flash, there's no reason Apple can't either. Again, it's just Jobs trying to convince himself he can influence the market.

Don't use the "why do you care, it doesn't matter to you anyway" argument.
If you want to stop us from criticising Apple, do so by coming up with genuinely good reasons. If they actually are correct, we won't argue against it. We're not bitching just because we've decided we hate Apple and nothing will change our minds. Unlike all the Apple fanboys who won't take any criticism of their beloved company who they naively believe don't just want their money. Apple sees its users as sacks of money. Microsoft used to, not so much anymore.
As far as I see, Apple used to be a cool company, in terms of their business practise. Now they've got too cocky and we need to call them out.
