Help can't get exhibit II to respond to voice commands

This phone model probably is incapable of voice commands. I discovered that you cannot place a call via Bluetooth with it.

I'm very disappointed with Samsung when it comes to this model, because it is one of the more higher-end phones.

The Exhibit is not a "higher end" phone. It's more low to midrange. It's almost 2 years old and is only a single core phone. Definitely nothing high end.

It is more higher-end than other Androids I've used in the past, that is the basis for my description of it.

I remain disappointed about the apparent lack of voice commands with this model. I expected better from Samsung.

This phone should be rooted if you want "high end" performance. It has a custom jellybean ROM (CM10) compatible with it and Google Now works.

Without root, it is an ordinary phone with 4G and that is it.

Rooting a phone is something I've never done, but I've heard some had problems in general (not phone specific) in trying to root one.

Rooting for the exhibit 4g is very easy compared to other phones. You have to decide if you are willing to void your warranty and take the chance. If you don't read and research it thoroughly, rooting is not for you.

The people who had problems trying to root, usually don't read and follow instructions carefully. Quickly browsing instructions and not researching leads to sloppiness and phones that are bricked.

But, when this phone is rooted, it opens up many possiblities including deleting all the Tmobile junk apps (bloat) or Samsung junk apps on the phone and improving the performance.

I don't have any issues with its performance, it runs very well with the 1Gb of memory, but my biggest complaint is the lack of voice-command capability.

I have used MUCH lower-end Androids in the past, that actually had this capability and I believe this is a HUGE oversight on Samsung's part with respect to this model.

Then get a new phone if you're not happy with it.
