Guys, look at these crashes. I'm on 1.7. What should I do? I've done everything.....

Are you using anything else like, V6/Kick Ass Kernal/Pimp My Rom or did you flash another kernal ontop of ROM#2 like Black Plague or Brokenout??

yeah i feel safe assuming that this is related to some sort of build.prop edit..? if your getting this many crashes during a/any boot proccess than something must be wrong, just try flashing the rom by itself with a fresh data wipe and try this test again.. if you added anything in the past, add them 1 by 1 untill you resolve this issue

I tried to install Pimp My Rom on top and it messed up everything! Flashing again v1.8 on top resolved the issue...

The only one thing that is weird is sometimes (like once a week), the 4G gets de-activated and i have to reboot my phone to restore the 4G connection.... it looks like it happens after the phone being in a sleep mode for quite a long time. I almost always keep WiFi on.

but short story even shorter, i think im comfortable where the rom stands right now.. so if anyone wants to continue updating the rom or what have you than feel free lol ill leave this thread open and occasionally add any neccessary updates, and i will always be here on the forums for anyone who needs any advice or anything!!!

this is now an open project free to the world!! (it always was really... LOL) enjoy guys, and thanks so much for the support i promise ill still be poking around bothering you guys hahaha

Exactly what he said! Perfect I love it! Just one question, I have the Rom Manager Premium but it wont let me install it over the one given in this rom. Is there a way I can forcefully uninstall the original rom manager given in this rom?

yup it's saved in data/app which means it's completely remove-able without any special tricks, just go to settings/applications/manage and clear cache & data for app first, then uninstall it

-lockscreen sim messages
-re adjusted with 1.6 build.prop

and probly some other small things i forgot to mention.. but all beneficial none the less

btw, i appologize for my lack on updating this etc.. im officially a trader lol selling my esteem and now playing with my gs3 untill the next best thing i guess...

Whats up Ldrifta, its good to see you still floating around here lol!! Im not sure if you seen my post a few above asking if you had the theme for your ROM so that ppl can flash it and switch back and forth between themes, you know so their phone theme matches their shoes that day if not its koo, thanks for all that you did brother you are awesome and unfortunately I dont have the s3 so I cant be your tester hehehe!! one day we shall meet again

Hey these crashes don't happen during booting they just happen while my phone is running, I've noticed that it happens a lot while running on the battery they hardly ever happen while it's plugged up. I can send you a crash log if you don't mind taking a look at it. It's Greek to me.

did you forget to enable adb debugging and allow unknown sources? (all in device settings)

Hey Drifta I'm thinking txmarkel did a hard reset button combo with CWM already installed. That's a BIG no-no, and I don't think trying to run root a root exploit on a brick is going to work.

Try using LG Updater tool with your phone in download mode to restore your stock software, if that doesn't work, this may help:

as a safety precaution i believe i removed the privacy section in settings which contains the factory reset option, sadly it cannot be done to the BT fix/settings.. so maybe he had that fix installed then made the unforgive-able mistake lol bummer man if thats the case

question, i tried using usb tethering a couple days ago, and every time i tried it said Settings was force closed. any idea why? I'm using 1.6...even though i'm downloading 1.8 right now but it's taking forever since the wireless at my school blows for downloading stuff.

hmm.. i may be missing an app for it, or possibly try the BT fix settings, it may also fix tethering lol

It would be nice to include the updated baseband from VV4 instead of zva in this rom

The phone works great just never could get it to root. Did the lg update software. Yes I know what bricked is did that to two others which I'm trying to learn to fix all of this cause I lost my status bar at top so I figured do the lg factory update and it would fix it. It did fix it just have not been able to reroot the phone. The other two I have can get the lights at the bottom to flash and that's all they will evrer do. Any ideas on them ? Remember I'm still a newbee . I did scam metro out of two.

yeah it's possible, probly only minor kernel edits etc.. ill look into it

flashing the bt is easy, just boot into cwm and flash it no wipes no nothing.. but it's ONLY for the 2.3.6 stock ZVA based roms such as this
