Google+, your main place to socialize?

Is anyone using Google+ as their main social network? Anyone actually completely give up Facebook and just use Google+? I have always loved the idea of Google+ but I think the way they rolled it out pretty much killed it from gaining a lot of Facebook members (trickled out invites which frustrated people before they even used it). Just looking to hear about peoples experiences.

FB for me. No G+ because it is just another place to maintain, update and fret about.

I would actually prefer to use G+ but none of my friends will join and my family that has joined never uses it. I'm stuck on FB, much to my chagrin.
I do use G+ mostly as a news feed type thing, I follow different stuff but don't really participate. I don't "like" pages on FB or follow anything there other than family/friends so G+ fills that void I guess.

I use G+ as my main social network. I post most often to G+. I find that on G+, I am able to find people who share the same interests as I and can have really engaging conversations.

I don't see myself giving up Facebook any time soon. I use FB to connect with friends and family and other people that I have actually met in person. Until, the majority of these people also migrate to G+, I would end up losing touch with them if I give up FB completely.

I would say that starting around June of last year, I ended up spending more time on G+ than on FB. G+ is really growing. The Communities features is really awesome and makes it a lot easier to find people who shares similar interests as I.

Me. Ive never been on facebook. I was a heavy user of twitter, before I jumped on the Google+ bandwagon. It's really innovative and people should NOW realize that Google+ is a completely different product than FB or Twitter.

I find the conversations to be great, none of the "first" post BS, rarely any arguments, but lots of engaging conversation.

Party mode, drive and hangouts are awesome features and along with Music the integration is killer!

Now that communities has been introduced, its added another level of connections.

They are all different services. Each has its different uses. I don't see one being able to replace the others.

Maybe this real name thing has something to do with it. I was opposed to it, but came to accept the terms in order to connect with such a great community where there are many engaging conversations. I sure hope that it stays that way as G+ grows.

I held my annual hockey pool over a G+ hang out this year. My pool group was originally the group of guys that I played hockey with every weekend in the 90's. A number of them have moved out of town and are unable to attend in person. We used to just draft over text chat. This year, we used a hangout where we can all video conference each other. It was awesome!

Now that communities has been introduced, its added another level of connections.

This was the best new feature in G+. It allowed me to connect with even more people who share the same interests. I think FB tried to do the same with groups, but I found that the conversations are no where near as engaging as on G+.

Never jumped on the Facebook bandwagon. I did however join G+ mainly because I made some good friendships on another forum. We often use G+ to chat on subjects a little more risque!

I tend to use it as a news feed rather than socialising. I find the conversation less "Volatile" and as such it is a "nice" place to be.
That said, if I want to speak to people like I would in the pub amongst my friends, I use FB. There's only really my friends that are interested in tech that use G+ The rest of my friends are very quick to dismiss anything that requires a bit of thought lol
Deep down, I think they were that hell bent on slating it, now that they know that it is here to stay, they are embarrassed to get involved Like they did when I first pulled my Galaxy note out......
These are the guys with Android phones who swear blind that they don't have a google account So how did you register your phone and what's the point?

I think over here in the UK, it just requires a bit more positive publicity and correct marketing (It's not a direct competitor to Facebook but more an enhancement to be used in conjunction) and it would take off. If it were bundled with every Android handset, people would find it and use it out of boredom
