how do I know if my tab2 2 has the hardware for tv/device remote?

well im lost as to find out,

if its a usa only WHY, Why do we buy the supposedly better tablet bigger than 7" etc but get less features, why an i different to a yank with the same thing i want to do what possesses the devs to do this stuff, dont they realise thed prob save some cash if they stopped messing with it and gave us all the same device ( i know country temps are diff and electrical supplys etc change that stuff thats needed to be done) but dont give me a device thats worse that someone elses..
