Help I need help removing stock programs.

Download and install ConnectBot (free) from the market.
Open it up and select a Local connection (bottom left of program screen)

then type in anything in the nickname (blank box)
once you see the screen for prompts, type this from your qwerty keyboard:

type: su and press enter
if you see the # sign you are rooted and good to go.
type: mount /system filesystem rw and press enter

type: mount -o remount,rw -t rfs /dev/stl5 /system and press enter

type: rm -r system/app/nameofapphere.apk and press enter
type: exit and press enter
again type: exit and press enter

then disconnect. Voila, all gone. I'll help anyone to do this, most people who know how to do this wont help you but I leaned the hard way and I actually like helping others. :D If you need to find the name of the apk you want uninstalled, use Astro to find apk files on the phone (not just sd card) and write it down, copy it. Enter the EXACT name of the apk in the line where it states to do this. example /syste/app/im.apk ALl the credit goes to the great forks at SDX Developers. Good luck to all. :D

Why do you have him mount twice? all he needs to do is

mount -t rfs -o remount,rw /dev/stl5 /system
then instead of typing out rm -r system/app/nameofapphere.apk for each app just type

cd /system/app

then if need be you can backup the files before you remove just type

cat appname.apk > /sdcard/appname.apk

then to remove

rm appname.apk

and when your done he forgot one step type in this

mount -t rfs -o remount,ro /dev/stl5 /system

make sure that last command goes through it may say system is busy or whatever but just keep typing it in over and over till it goes through

then you can type exit and then exit again to exit the app

With root, just use Root explorer goto System>app. Mount R/W (top right) then delete the apps you want to delete by long pressing them.\

*Edit*
Just in case you want to back them up. Copy (by long press) then paste in your sdcard, which you should see in the first page

It's not letting me deleted them, keeps saying the file is read only.
