Root [ROM][WIP] BACKside ROM (CM7) + Green Machine Theme

My issue isn't with how fast games are running (I can drudge through the bits of lag, its not that bad) or the screen freezing. Its with touching the screen in two places at the same time. I've read about the touch screen CPU spikes, where every time you touch the screen the CPU jumps to 100%. Which would make sense to why when I'm playing games the button pad (on the right side of my screen) hits the corresponding button I'm holding down on the directional pad (on the left side of my screen) and visa versa. Thus making most games, especially games that require jumping in certain directions and hitting two buttons at the same time almost impossible to play.

05022012 was the last build. JerryScript no longer supports this ROM because he has moved on to another phone and is spending all his free time (he still has a family too) developing ROMs for it.
Right now the best ROM for our phone is the MiRaGe ROM.
Use the ZenGarden recovery to flash it.
All info is in the All Things Root Guide sticky.
If you need help with anything just PM me.

Where is Jerry now?

LG Optimus V. BACKside ROM. I don't know wth happened, but it has become pretty worthless. Upon boot, it says "formatting", etc. (I can't recall it exactly, for if I reboot I'm stuck.) It then begins the initial setup, the "touch the Android to begin" screen. About 9 times out of 10 I can go no further, it crashes, beginning setup again. So at this very moment it's up and running, which brings a whole new problem - it won't mount the SD card. When I choose "Mount SD Card", it immediately says "SD Card safe to remove". When I attempt to reboot into recovery mode, the usual recovery menu isn't there. There is nothing to select, it just says "formatting", and starts the whole process over again. If I could mount the SD card, I could put the ROM and recovery on there and repair. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. I've been stuck like this for a month. And it's the wife's phone, so that compounds the matter. Thanks for your time.

Which recovery did you install?
If you have the android sdk on your C: drive connect the phone to your computer, open a command prompt and type in:
Code:
adb devices
If you get your phones s/n then we can proceed with installing a new recovery and ROM the easy way.
If you don't have the SDK the go here: https://app.box.com/s/stqwz15yr4qgmcrj257h
Put on C: drive and unzip. Read the readme.txt.

I"m well aware of Andy's credentials. I actually feel graced when he offers to help me. :D I've got some time this evening, so I'm going to take another stab at it. I haven't tested the card yet, but I did try a card from another phone. I'll test the card and get to work on the other things. I'm ok on a computer, but not so great on Android OS. Thanks guys for all your help. I'll be back.

If either of you guys are around...I am still having a stoopid prob. I put all the zips on the new card. Rebooted into recovery, but am still getting the same "FORMATTING!" screen. It's probably my own stoopidity. Alcohol and sleep deprivation can do that. Pre-thanks to anyone that can help me. My wife is leaving in the morning on an 11-hour drive and needs her cell.

It could be an issue with the actual card slot on the phone. It isn't common, but they can in fact fail. Do you have another phone you could test the sd-card in? Much like on a pc, if the os can't read the partition it will want to format it. Since you tested with a different card and got the same results (albeit after some time) there could be an issue with the slot. Either way it sounds like something is corrupting the partition table.
