Root WIFI / Root / NexTheme Problem?

I recently reverted from 2.1 back to 2.01 and rooted. I'm currently using NexTheme R2 overclocked using Adamz LV Kernel.

Since I reverted, rooted, and installed NexTheme, I have not been able to connect to my WIFI Router. I'm not sure what it is - I'll have to flash several more ROM's/Kernels to try to nail it down.

So that I know where to start - Has anyone else experienced similar problems?

I know that my router is not the problem - nothing has changed and all my computers still connect with no problems. I'm only 10 feet from it.

The Droid detects it just fine with great signal strength (10 feet from it). I put in my router's PW, and it stays on "Obtaining address..." for quite some time before it goes back to "Remembered, secured with WEP."

While typing this, I lowered the clock speed back to 400 MHz, but no change.

I am using Rom Manager to download Stock 2.1 rooted, with Radio. Going to try that one. I'm assuming that it will replace Adamz LV Kernel.

I will keep updating as I change things.

Try the P3 kernels (which also support wired tethering). I am having no problem with them.
P3Droid Kernels

I have also deleted my wifi connection on my phone, temporally broadcast my SSID from my router, and then set the phone up again. That worked for me in the past.

Little OT...I thought P3Droid kernels were only for Cyanogenmod ROMs...true?

Not since Koush released his universal update.zip template for kernels.

So far, I think only P3Droid is using it, but as more and more developers start using it, there shouldn't be any more incompatibilities between roms (well assuming they're the same level of Android - 2.1, etc).
