Specs are really not bad for the price, lacks a camera but I don't really care about that from a tablet to be honest.

Worth it?

Mine arrived from Ebuyer this morning. Plays youtube videos quite nicely thanks to flash support, multi-touch works, keyboard layout is slightly odd, but I think I'll get used to it pretty quickly. The screen will be a fingerprint magnet, but that's pretty standard for glossy screens.

My only niggle with it at the moment is that is uses the AndroidPit app store rather than the Google's Android Market, so there's a big difference in the number of available apps. That said, I'm sure there's some way around this...

So all in all, I'm happy so far.

Mine arrived this morning, didn't have much time to test as I was just about to leave for work, seems decent enough for the price.

Screen is not as responsive as high end tablets/phones but by no means bad, easy enough to use and also the viewing angles on the screen are a little poor but not a deal breaker.

Needs further testing... :)

I ordered one of these yesterday, but I'm having second thoughts after doing some further reading. The lack of Android Market is a bit worrying... Interested to know how you both get on with these :)

Not to bothered about that, there are alternatives to the Android market and worst case I can download the apk and transfer it onto the tablet.

We will see, could always install the amazon app store, I'm sure theres a way to get that working in the UK.

Well I've been having a play with mine and decided I really wanted the Google apps (including Market) so I did a bit of digging.

Android Market can be installed if you root the device, and thankfully there's a guide for the Hannspad already written up. I tried it and it works fine. I've even installed Ubuntu in a chroot jail to run concurrently with Android.

The guide's here: Hannspree 10ST1 - SlateDroid.com - Page 3 just follow the advice of alpha232.

This will give you Android Market, Navigation, Places and the Gmail client. :D

Does it come with 512MB or 1GB of RAM cause here Hannspree Hannspad 7-inch Android tablet test and review | SVEYO reviews it says it has only 512MB which is not a lot by today's standards. At least the OS is Android Ice Cream Sandwich which strongly recommended for low cost tablets.

This thread is almost two years old. It's referring to an older budget Froyo 2.2 or Gingerbread 2.3 tablet. If the manufacturer has coerced it into running ICS 4.0, I wouldn't bother as it's likely to be rather laggy and sluggish.
