Favorite breakfast?

My favorite breakfast is to go to a good breakfast buffet where I can have a little of everything :) If I'm fixing my favorite at home it would be bacon and eggs over easy with some grits and dry toast. Breakfast calls out for a great cup of coffee as well.

Variety is a good thing! Hmm.. grits.. that reminds me, I need to go shopping.

I hope I'm not the only one here to confess to being very moody about what I eat in the morning. :D

Most often, though, it's hot green tea, dark rye toast with Vegenaise or just dry, and a nice hot bowl of cream of wheat or oat meal (not "instant," etc and not microwaved, made on the stove ;)).

Yeah, I can't tolerate instant oatmeal. People tell me I'm crazy, but there is a huge different in taste between instant and stove-cooked oatmeal.

Best breakfast? Has to be the Full English.

Never eat it, of course. I like being alive.

Besides, not being a morning person, I struggle to face food first thing in the day. Mornings are for espresso and plenty of it. Either that or bed.

The last couple of years, the missus has persuaded me to have a slice of wholemeal with something on it and fresh juice. I just about manage.

Strange thing is that when I'm in hotels, I can eat enough to feed an army .. go figure.

My favorite breakfast is no longer available sadly.. There was a Mexican burrito resturant in town.. it was called Tio's. While I didn't much care for their lunch burritos, their breakfast burritos were simply amazing.

I would get breakfast potatoes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, shredded cheese, and their special cheese sauce that made the thing melt in your mouth.

All that on a 13 inch tortilla, and it got to be about 4 inches in diameter when all wrapped up, for only $5. But they closed because of not enough customers throughout the day. I try making my own, but with out the cheese sauce they never turn out just quite right haha

The full English breakfast.

If you need education on this it's something along tge lines of: (many variations of items)

Bowl of cereal
Toast
Half a grapefruit

Sausages
Bacon
Eggs fried/scrambled etc etc
Baked beans
Fried bread (sometimes instead of toast, and or bread and butter)
Tomato (whole/chopped tinned or fresh grilled)
Mushrooms (not in mine though)
Black/white pudding (not on mine though)
Hash browns

With tea/coffee and OJ/apple juice

It's even better in a farmhouse B&B ;)

You know, I didn't realize it when I posted it but this thread makes me hungry every time I read it. Some great suggestions herein and I'm going to modify my favorite breakfast a bit.

A friend of mine recently asked me "You can't live forever, what are you going to do when you're in the hospital dying of nothing?"

I think it's time to broaden my breakfast experience with some of the suggestions in this thread :)

When I was younger and the microwave was brand new, I'd cook up a pound of microwave bacon and wash it down with a half gallon or so of milk. Mind you I didn't set out to eat all the bacon, but it was just so good that I kept on going back and making more. Throw in a bowl of oatmeal to stick it all together and it's a meal!

#2 breakfast platter at The Chuck Wagon, Route 40 (National Pike) in between Brownsville and Washington PA.

2 eggs, bacon and sausage (your choice of patty or links), home fries, texas toast and Pancakes or waffles. Haz that with bottomless coffee mug. ;)

I ate this just about every weekend whilst in college. Great for filling the void and curing just about the worst of any hangover!! :D

I'm not a morning person, so I don't usually eat an actual breakfast. I like to have been awake at least a couple of hours before eating. I do, however, love breakfast food.

At home:
-Eggs over easy on top of toasted English muffin
-everything bagel, toasted, with melted pepper jack
-cheese grits or fried green tomatoes go great with any breakfast meal
-food is usually accompanied by coffee or OJ

Out:
-Cracker Barrel country fried steak breakfast + coffee
-Sausage egg and cheese biscuit
-Chickfila chicken biscuit
-French toast
