Alarm clock story...funny...or not!

So I use my Eris as an alarm clock, and as I am a hard sleeper, I keep it in the bathroom charging at night, and set a whole series of alarms about ten minutes apart from each other. This way I have to get up, turn of the alarm, and if I happen to "wander" back into the bed, then I know that an alarm will be going off shortly. My wife is not really fond of this, but she allows it, as I am making a determined effort to bring home the bacon.

So last night, I finally broke down, and downloaded the 2.1 leak(2). I couldn't stand the wait any more. Got it up and running, installed my apps, setup most of my stuff, enough to get me rolling in the morning.

And set all my alarms, just like my old settings. Never mind that the actual clock looks a bit different.

So when those alarms started going off this morning at 4 AM, do you think I knew how to dismiss them?

Nope. I did everything except throw it through a wall! Nothing would shut the alarm off! Finally, I just turned the whole blessed thing off! My wife was in the bedroom, half-asleep, whispering to me, "Don't cuss! Don't cuss!"

I think I figured it out now....at least I hope so!

boooooo.
lol sorry. if you have a problem waking up in the morning and going back to sleep after turning off the alarm there is an app that requires you to do a math problem to turn the alarm off. might wanna try it and see if you like it. its called math clock and is available in the market for free.

Oooh. Math and mornings. I can see why it would be effective, but potentially disastrous in my case...LOL thanks for the tip!

not sure if its a basic problem like 2+2, or something a bit difficult, but ive heard good things about it. i havent tried it because for some reason the alarms dont go off on my phone. they did the first time i set one but after that nothing....which killed me until i realized that i wasnt just sleeping through it, but it just wasnt going off.
thats when i invested in a old fashioned alarm clock.

Andrizoid:

Go and set an alarm, and pick an alert sound for it. When you click on a different sound, press the volume rocker buttons up. The volume is probably muted, this happened to me.

no ive tried. :(
it doesnt even pop up a notification. its something ive learned to deal with. i found an app to notify me for the only time that i would set an alarm anyways. 420 notifier is pretty much the sheezy :D
