Notifications

Hi,

I'm pretty sure I dealt with this first time round with my Hero, but since the ROM update I can't remember how...can anyone please tell me how to stop receiving double email notifications? i.e. in the notifications bar I get the @ sign notification with the actual email, and if I don't check it quickly enough, I get a text message to tell me I have new email which is totally redundant.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Click on the Default Messaging app ... then Menu

Unclick Notifications ...

Make sure that the 3rd party app is set to notify you instead ...

I'm not running any third party email apps - just using the built-in one - so I don't think that's the problem. Any other ideas?

So if you dont have more than one SMS app ... then there is no way you should be having double notifications ...

So to be clear ... you only have the Messaging app that was default on the phone out of the box ?
