Nothing is even remotely good about Samsung right now.
-The hardware is less than impressive (especially compared to HTC/Apple/Nokia)

-The software looks the same with rehashed features that they are claiming to have invented

-Lastly the event is a MESS. These skits feel forced and awkward.

The design is from over a year ago. No one wants to buy a 2012 device in 2013. The materials suck and that home button...Don't get me started...

There is no innovation here.

Samsung didn't have any ideas and just took features other phones already have or what Google already built into Android and renamed them...

Software and especially hardware are disappointing. HTC killed Samsung.

I admit this really sucks but you have to realize one thing, every year every phone share features. It's a standard. you might as well say the 1080p screen is copying. did you expect a 4k one on a phone. they don't make these things overnight. if this was announced before the htc one then people would of said the same for the htc one copying features. that's just my point on when you say "took features". that's common in everything in the world. some companies think of the same thing because that's just the next thing in line making it standard.

but this presentation is crap and the design is lame. even if the specs are updated to today's specs it doesn't catch my eye since visually it looks the same. people are sucked into things visually and the fact it looks the same it is a flop to me. THIS EVENT HAS BECOME AMERICANIZED. They have failed and will still sale like hot cakes and hopefully the get a negative response and think better for the Note III and next years event.

I'm on twitter and so many tech blogs are showing disappointment.

We are well into the first quarter of 2013 and IMO things need to move in an upward direction.

Same materials, same OS, some new tricks that are basically old tricks on android just renamed under Samsung's moniker. This to me is a disaster on Samsung's part...Come on man it looks exactly like an S3, like exactly!

This is not some small company, this is Samsung and they are just tremendously huge and should be bringing better stuff to the table then just a revised S3...That's just my 2 cents.

Whatever Samsung made up in a year in terms of street credibility, they tossed it out of a PLANE.

We will have to wait for reviews, benchmarks and comparisons and then we will see how good the hardware is.

Gonna play devil's advocate here.

- The presentation was very corny, but wasn't boring. If they did a straight tech briefing, 99% of people there and watching would have fallen asleep.

- The phone looks the same, the internals are not. Android fans ripped Apple fans to shreds making fun of them saying "omg it looks the same, how will people know I have the newest one". Looks like it's just a general picky issue of any phone user, and not just "omg Apple fanboy lolz" thing since there's a whole lot of it going on now .

Overall, it has tons of features that I'm looking forward to. Does it have everything I want? No. Will any phone fulfill that? Probably not, and definitely not for a long while.

The S5 will come out next year and people will complain about that too.

Will it stop me from buying the S4? Nope. I upgrade every two years when my contract allows me to. Coming from the S2, this has tons of upgrades I'll look forward to.

If your only concerned about the looks of the device like some kind of fashion accessory which must change with the seasons then I can see why you would think this.

I'm actually interested in the hardware and technology in the device and that is were Samsung really shine.

Well that's very disappointing if these results represent the final product. Based on rumored specs it seems hard to believe that's the best it can do.

Remember it's not released until the end of April so these results could change.

Higher PPI benefit diminished to a certain point, there in so point of having a 1080p on a 4.7 screen, you need bigger screen to take care of that and samsung 5 inch > 4.7 inch at 1080p

have you study maths at schooL? samsung will have 32gb model and SD card up to 64GB

and what about the battery?

Design, subjective, when it comes to quantitative measure, Samsung S4 rapes HTC any day..
