Looks like they are sticking with the DROID name and it makes sense of course. As people have said about "all the marketing" etc now it's not going to be a matter of competing with DROID cause it is a DROID now. I WANT IT!!

I'm actually considering playing hooky on the 29th because of this phone

I like that they are putting Droid in the title, its showing off android and building on the advertisement of the Droid.

I thought I would not like seeing Droid tagged on but thinking about the momentum of the Droid campaign its a good idea. The Droid billboards are making a big comeback now at least in Houston with the Droid does apps campaign. So now the Incredible will ride right in on the momentum.

i really wish they hadn't used the "Droid " name either, but I get why they did. It's a great marketing tool, the name "droid" everyone already uses like "blackberry"--it's not a specific device, but rather a type of phone.

I just find it amusing that they have to pay George Lucas for the use of the word "Droid" that he owns the trademark for.
