[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

Just had my first reboot.

Similar to 5.0. Started with my live wall paper being replaced by the JBSourcery blue wall paper. The phone rebooted when I plugged it into the computer intending to transfer some music over to it.

I grabbed a bug report when I saw the wall paper change, if that'll help the devs...

I have this issue once a day. My wallpaper is replaced with just a black screen. Also I have a program called event monitor that get as killed when the wallpaper is replaced as well. I didn't have this problem with 4.2.1 but for some reason since v5 on 4.2.2 it has been happening daily. I thought maybe it was a 4.2.2 issue except on my nexus 7 tablet running stock 4.2.2 both my wallpaper and event monitor run fine. Might just go back to my saved version of 4.2.1

Any one else not able to connect to a WiFi network?
I can connect, but I dont get an IP and thus can not get to connected to the Internet via WiFi.
I tried at work and home, at both places my laptop picked up the same wifi I was trying to get with my phone. Im convinced it is the phone.

Me!!! I've tried 4 networks I could previously be on and none will hold on this version. I'm just happy I'm usually within reach of a power source and if I'm not then I carry 2 spare batteries with me. I figured it was just me and wasn't going to say anything. I even tried clearing all the WiFi networks out and entering them as if it were the first time and still nothing.

how is 5.1 for stability? I need reload a new phone this afternoon :/

I use it for work so, stability is more important then being on the latest release :(

i am still rocking 4.5 since it is very stable for me.

5.0 had gps, bluetooth, and once a day reboot issues
5.1 seems to have wifi and once a day reboot issues

When I was on 5.0, I only had the bluetooth issues, so it depends on your phone and what apps you may have.

I first want to thank the Devs for another awesome ROM, 5.1 been running pretty good for me. Thanks for the hard work :)

I do have a question though, I have been experiencing pretty bad battery life with this rom. I am getting good deep sleep and all the stats in better battery stats look good with the exception of one "com.android.phone". This one had 300 wakups while I was asleep. Is this due to a bad signal possibly that others are seeing? The phone is on WIFI the whole time while asleep.

I'm having a battery issue to but i suspect an app. My gps was off when i went to sleep but when i woke up it was on. Facebook location settings have location disabled and i didn't use maps, Google +, or geocaching in my sleep. I think these are the only apps that would be using the gps. I also played with location settings and turned everything off but the gps still comes on. I'm going to dig in further before i blame the ROM though.

See Colchiro's response to my post on page 72. If you're running 4.2, this may be your answer.

Toro gnex sourcery 5.1 non inverted gapps w/o photosphere: Not sure if its just me, however when i add>widgets>photo Gallery > chose an image my phone locks up when image Is cropping. This results in my launcher (both apex and Nova) crashing. Problem occurred on 5.0 also o.o was fine before.

Also : tested on my nexus 10 running AOKP build 5(would love to run sourcery) it works, which leads me to infer its not a 4.2.2 bug.

Still waiting for a reply....

Still waiting for a reply....

Running the same gapps myself, on 5.1, and it's let me crop and load up fine. Setting up my phone originally, I was doing it all the time, since the reloading UI when I was toying with mods kept resetting it. Does it let you choose other wallpapers ok? What about going into the gallery straight-off, picking a picture, hitting Menu and choosing Set As? Just trying to figure out where to go with it. Wondering if maybe it was just a wacky load of your ROM/gapps?

quick off topic post RE: bedside/nighttime clocks...

Just an update on the clock color text mod: I've completed an "alpha release" version of the mod on the 4.1.1 desk clock and have posted it in this thread. Sorry to be off topic...

Any comments about this clock color mod should probably go in that thread. Moderators, I'm sorry if I am breaking any rules by 'spamming this thread'... feel free to delete this post if its a big nono.

Unless one of the Sourcery team has an issue I think the link is fine. Thanks for letting us know!

Well, I can't cast the first stone as far as hijacking the thread goes, Dhworph, since it was I who pretty much started the tangent. So in the interest of staying on the topic of Sourcery, any further conversations about mods (other than Sourcery's) will be handled in another thread or by PM. Mine included :)

<---- not perfect*

*- just close :p

Bunch of rapid reboots today. Recieved a phone call, which rolled to voicemail, then a text at which point I think it rebooted. Later, it immediatly rebooted after hanging up a call while on bluetooth.

I love this ROM, so I might try re-installing. I did resotre with TiBu after a clean wipe, but only apps + data, no system settings. If that doesn't work, I might have to jump ship for a while... :-(

...Ability to turn off mobile data all together via a toggle (I found long pressing on the signal toggle brings you to the mobile data menu, where you can turn it off from there. It'd be nice to do it through a toggle though)...
Use the "signal" toggle, you don't have to long press. I use it myself to turn data off and on every day at work.

Chief, did you figure out your keyboard "P" selection issue? This is what I did to help me out on the same issue. I narrowed the selection area of the LMT arc/piecontrol. Open LMT and scroll down to pie control (near bottom). Open "Activation area size Y". I changed to 100 from 300 and it narrows the selection area so it doesn't overlap the keyboard. Hope this helps.
