Help Remove Flipboard

it only uninstalls updates... does not totally remove the app!!!

If you disable it, it wont show up and it wont run. You CANNOT uninstall system apps without root. If it doesnt have the disable button (top right) and its the uninstall button there instead, then theres not a lot you can do.

I use Easy Uninstaller and Flipboard is on the list of apps that it claims it can uninstall. My phone is not rooted, so are you saying if I tried to use Easy Uninstaller to remove Flipboard it wouldn't work?

I'm not going to try as I really like the app!

From Google Play listing for Easy Uninstaller.
#FAQ
Q: Why can't it list pre-loaded apps?
A: Pre-loaded apps cannot be uninstalled, only if your phone is rooted, you can search "root uninstall" in Google market.

I was checking out this post and noticed a few people mention that after uninstalling the updates from a factory-loaded app the 'disable' option appears.

So, I went ahead and uninstalled the updates for Flipboard, ChatOn, DropBox, and a couple Sprint apps. To my surprise, the applications were removed completely (at least, to my perspective they appear to be gone). After uninstalling the updates through the Application manager and restarting the phone I found that none of the apps I uninstalled the updates from were present in the list. Was this supposed to happen?

I'm not rooted and am using the Nova Launcher (Paid) UI.

If u uninstall updates, "disable" should appear in its place

On my Note 10 (2014), I uninstalled updates and the "Turn Off" button appeared - but it appears grayed-out, so apparently I can't turn it off. [And it re-starts on re-boot, and there's no option to turn off automatic updates.] Weird, because I had no problem turning it off on my Note 2. Guess Samsung has decided (once again) what is good for me and will not let me choose my own preferences.

Was it my imagination, or wasn't one of the first promises Android made to us was that we would be able to have control over our devices, NOT like Apple, who decides what's good for it's users and forces them to take whatever they give them?

Thank you Samsung, for making me feel like an Apple Drone!
