the Incredible is Verizon's Nexus?

The Nexus is the nexus...the Incredible will be sold in retail stores, where as Nexus can only be done online.

Google's mistake is and was to keep the Nexus as an online order only. I guarantee that Verizon refused to sell the Nexus one until they had a tangible phone in the store (hence the Incredible).

I'm uncertain how the online only order benefits the consumer?? It makes no sense. Google is huge so I'm sure they are not sweating it... but the guy that made the official decision to keep it web sale only is a ****ing moron.

thats what i think, i'm sure there is some differences between the two besides looks and sense ui and stuff like that but i bet verizon will either make the incredible cheaper or throw in a bigger sd card to make people want the incredible

The Incredible is already better spec'd than the N1. No need to try and entice with a microSD card or cheaper price.

Bingo! The VZW N1 sales (again, IF it ever comes out) will be the worst decision for Google. INC sales will trump N1 sales x10000000000 guaranteed.
Once INC is in stores, Google might as well just take VZW off it's website because the sales will be the lowest of any offered N1 carrier.
Busted!

I think it was more of a way to market and advertise the os, using a phone.
