Hi, my phone won't let me press certain keys when typing a message, and when
I am trying to select a option on a demand list. For the bottom options I can't select at all. To make a long story short my selection demand sucks. I know I need a new battery but it will solve this problem?

That doesn't sound like it's battery problem. Probably a problem with hardware. Have you tried a simple reboot? Also what rom are you running?

thank you for responding to my message, well I don't have many apps on my rom,. I did reboot my phone yesterday but I still having the same problems. maybe I did it wrong, how do you reboot it? but I am having problem s with my battery though because my phone will be charged 100 percent and when I take it off the charger, within 5 minutes it will die and when I turn it back on, it drops to 0 percent.

Wowzers, you need a new battery ASAP!

As far as the options go, what kind of options are you trying to access? Are they greyed out?

yeah it did let me select the options that I want to select but just recently it just stop let me select those options. for example, when I try to select shutdown, it will select airplane mode.

Hm I've actually had a problem similar to this before with my attain but it was because the screen would recognize a touch at the bottom of the screen If you hovered over it and that would cause the screen to act wonky. Hm I would suggested re flashing your current rom or flash another rom and see if you still have that problem

Is your phone still under warranty? I'd rather go with all other options before voiding a warranty as I highly doubt rooting will fix this problem.

no sadly, but going to buy a new battery tomorrow because my battery has enter T
the Twilight Zone, it's really getting on my nerves. but if it don't improves I'm going to buy a new phone, but I have noticed that my phone started acting weird when I bought a new adapter.

Well after reading all of the previous posts I'm gonna assume you've done nothing to your phone update or root wise so first for the easiest one try running the samsung upgrade tool which you can get from the samsung website. Just search for samsung admire and choose the metro pcs admire, then click support, then click manuals & downloads, and then software and it's the one that says upgrade.

If that doesn't work then you can try flashing a rom. Now about the rooting thing if you ever decide to replace it you could just run the 2.3.6 update and your warranty should still be ok.

Well, i went to the metro pcs store before i done the flashing opition, and the sale associate told me that someone give me the wrong adapter for my phone, it was for a low grade phone, not for a smartphone, so it burned out a cell in my phone. The person who sold it to me was another sales associate from a different store. I was so pissed when he told me, so had to buy a new phone today. But thanks for telling me about the flash opition, i might do it one day. :)

Not to be mean, but you paid $100 (+tax) for the Samsung Admire when you could have the bought the LG Motion 4G (which is a huge improvement over the Admire) for the same price and get $50 back through a MIR. But that's just my opinion [Also, since you bought it today you can still exchange it for the Motion]

She never hinted at buying another admire. She just said she bought a new phone.
