I just updated to JB this morning. So far, everything seems to be okay. (*knocks on wood*) I'm curious what number of people are having varying levels of issues with the update.

(I know the FDR will cure many ails of the update, but I'm trying to hold off on dealing with that for the moment.)

I have really have only 1 issue, however I my phone wast updated, and that is with the phone dialer. I hope I can put in words what I'm trying to convey. Prior to the update on an incoming call all I had to do was press answer highlighted in red to receive the call. Now I have that round circle and have to press the phone icon twice, once to unlock and a second time to start taling. Called Verizon, they had no answer to help me, also said a FDR would do me no good, which I'm hesitant to do anyway, unsure of how to back up everything.

The issue I have is that I can no longer tether to my computer for an internet connection. When I try to tether I get the message that I must upgrade to a mobile hotspot connection and pay Verizon an extra 30 dollars a month. I have yet to find an app that will fix this problem as Verizon has evidently blocked this capability in all the existing add apps in the market. if anyone knows of an updated app please let everyone know.

what does one lose with a fdr. do i have re set up my gmail, email, contacts, favorites, re install all sw apps, etc?

Everything except what is on the SD card. It is a full data wipe. Takes you back to like it was the minute it came out the box. You will have to redo your email, if your contacts are gmail they will be synced when you enter that account. Apps will be gone and all their settings, same with games and progress.

I have had no issues. I've run into a few minor software annoyances--Audio effects turned themselves back on, and I can no longer select an MP3 for my alarm as easily--but overall performance is on par with ICS or better and battery life has not been impacted at all. For the moment, I see absolutely no reason to factory reset.

I suspect that most reported issues are due to user error.

My issues are only what has been changed. I liked the sticky note widget so I found one not as nice but it works. Incoming calls now have that stupid unlock(why this was changed I have no idea). Dock app has changed a bit but is ok. Acoustics protection is stupid, what a feel good app! Phone is just as smooth as it was before, TG!

Other than doing the Factory Reset, I have had no issues. In fact, I am enjoying the speed.

And trust me and others, The Factory Reset is worth it. It's amazing how much garbage is on the phone. Yes, it is timely, but well worth the effort.

Regarding Battery, for me it's about the same. I wish it was better, but I guess, I will have to charge mid day and make sure I have a full charge when I know I will be away from charging sources.
