I discovered the non rooted version can't seem to run root.. even if its the flashed zip. the only reason I would bring that up is say, if someone (not necessarily referring to myself) wanted to flash that for sellin on ebay or somethin so the next person may want to root it but couldnt.

To elaborate further...the download on google play is just the busybox installer. Simply downloading and installing the installer isn't enough. You have to then use the installer to install busybox.
Hey great Rom I just switched back to stock most of the 4.2.2 Roms are giving me a lot of trouble, Only down fall of this rom is I cant flash kernels on this rom I always get error message in 4ext recovery, oh and your root binary file does not work so none of your roms are rooted I had to flash Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed zip to be rooted other than that great job liking it so far
No sure if your having the same problems I was having but maybe what I did can help. I was stuck on the new VM 1.58 hboot with S-ON also. All I wanted was to go back to stock. I tried the ruu, I tried getting S-OFF but nothing would work. I read somewhere that someone said the VM and Sprint hboot 1.58 was the same but that no one had tried using the JBear version that is compatible with the Sprint version 1.58 hboot. I had nothing to loose so I tried it and it worked. Only other problem I had was that the windows version wouldnt work. I downloaded a Ubuntu version and used the live cd to run JBear for the Sprint cdma 1.58 hboot and worked first time. After I was s-off I used the VM ruu no problem. Now Im back to stock. Hope this helps someone.
The problem comes in with a new hboot. There is no controlbear software for Evo V hboot 1.58. We already know that it works on windows and even on a rooted stock rom. But now we have a new hboot. So what do you do? Use the Evo V controlbear software? Use the Evo 3d software for hboot 1.58? My guess would be to use the 1.58 Evo 3d software, but no one has ever tested it yet... There is no specific software compatible with the new OTA... So we just won't know until someone is willing to experiment.
For now, I would say, don't take the OTA if you are considering s-off. Do s-off first!
Not sure. I used to tell people how friendly they were, because they were back when I did s-off... Now, heaven forbid you even politely ask them a question.. It seems they don't want anyone to ask questions lol. So why have a chat?
I used the JBear for Sprint cdma 1.58 hboot on my VM 1.58 hboot with S-ON and it worked just fine. I had to use a live cd with Ubuntu but Im back to stock now.

Yes, If anyone has at least the odex, please get us an upload. I moved hosts for my website and they were lost somehow in between. I'll update and re-up it as well as soon as I get something
negamann, dude, i've been trying to download this for days, and it either slows down to a crawl from your servers, or it will 404 on me, either fix your links or please upload to mediafire, someone. I've been trying to get stock ICS deodexed/rooted for 3 days now, and i'm burning my data cap with wasted attempts. :\
