new lg ms770 problems and questions

1st LG MS770 worked well. After 4 weeks the screen would not respond at all for 3 minutes. I could tap and nothing. Turn off and on and no response when I would tap. I would have others tap to make sure it was not my fingers. No response. Then it would work.

The 3 minutes turned into 20. Then that turned into hours. Then it would not work at all. I did not drop or crush. No damage or mistreatment.

Friend of mine said something about a bios flash. My home router had been compromised and I wonder if phone was rooted or compromised?

I did not download anything except what I found on play.google.


2nd LG MS770

I have not been able to verify these files I found on my phone on the web:

1. 10098 under Data Usage. I can not find what 10098 is? Last 7 days it has used 0 foreground data and 4.07mb of background data. 10098 is a name (with no description) like google or gmail or yahoo.

2. Multi Phone Live Wallpaper. Can not find this on web. Is it a default LG program? Is listed under downloaded. I did NOT download this.

3. .bugsense Under android assistant and file manager I find .bugsense. I believe it is a REMOTE debug file. is this installed by lg android?

4 Recordmycalls keeps turning off. I keep setting it to automatic and it keeps turning back to off.

am very happy with this phone. Just wondering about a few things I can not lookup on web.

Is an app called Key Chain a default app? and why does it allow wi fi multicast reception, change ui settings, disable keylock, modify global system settings, mount and unmount file systems, intercept phone calls, read sms mms and much more.

another app is running call LGSystemServer v1.0. Force stop is under it but it can not be disabled. 0 bytes and not data.

market feedback agent v4.04 is also running. says it reads sensitive log data.

SIM toolkit app v4.04. force stop button is lit but disable button is greyed out. hardware controls intercept calls, take photos videos, system tools everthing.

Certificate installer v4.04. force stop button is lit but disable button is greyed out.

AAT v4.04. can not find on internet. read and write to contacts and a buncha other stuff. force stop button is lit. 0 bytes on everything.

Try cleaning your cache (there are apps on market). If it does not stop the freezing, I suggest you use your warranty.
Process and apps you are describing are system processes, do not mess with it unless you know what you are doing.
If stock recorder does not work try one off the market.

1st phone has already been turned back in under warranty. I cleared cache a couple times of day (memory and harddrive clean) with android assistant. I had hardly anything loaded.

was using aftermarket recorder (recordmycalls).

still wondering about slow 'bios' problems I was having per my friend.

I did not voluntarily do it. I am very careful about what I download and I do not surf all over the web and stuff.

It is probable that someone (I might possibly know) attacked or rooted it. Long story.


Am looking at my data usage again.

com.lge.lockscreen - 4kb data. question why system tools shows: allow wi fi multicast reception and long list like mount/unmount file system and stuff.

OSP On Screen Phone - why is it checked under connectivity? I did not enable.

Sim Toolkit - does this phone need a sim toolkit installed? I understand that it uses a sim card for Metropcs 4g.

Did LG install a default sim toolkit on this?
