Would you buy your Nexus again or get the Incredible?

I want to hear from Nexus owners mainly, as most of us know the Incredible is almost the same as the nexus so would you buy your Nexus again or would you buy the Incredible if you could do it over again?

the only difference that i've noticed...
1. Nexus-AMOLED Incredible-OLED *change* same screen according to vzw website
2. Nexus-5 mega pixel Incredible- 8 mega pixel (don't care to be honest)
3. Nexus-stock android UI Incredible- Sense UI
4. Nexus 512 mb strorage Incredible-8 gb *not for apps :`( *
5. Nexus -trackball Incredible- trackpad (never found a pad i liked)
6. Nexus- supports 32gb card Incredible supports 16gb card (don't care)
7. Nexus- Looks sexy (sexy nexy) Incredible- Looks like crap
8. Nexus- Gets updates soonest incredible- wait forever for unpdates
9. Nexus- one led flash incredible- dual flash
10. Nexus- buy online and get "bad support" incredible- buy in store

in short i don't really like sense ui and i would probably like to root so i don't care about the ui, 8 gb internal is amazing, i want to have the latest os, and i don't care about in store support because i work for Verizon so i would be talking to myself

I may be missing something but there is good and bad to each phone, but my question is which would you get?

incredible is going on pre order the 19th

I've got a n1 right now and if for some odd reason I had to get a new phone right now, I'd get a n1 again. Verizon's pricing plans are expensive. I can choose my carrier with N1 (TMo or ATT).

The 8MP camera and extra internal memory are nice but not a huge deal to me. I'd have to try really really hard to fill up my current n1 internal storage. 8GB is overkill for me.

If you root your phone, does the promptness of OTA updates matter?

everything boils down to battery life ultimately for me. i would rather not replace the battery to survive through a day. single charge each night is ideal for me. after i'll consider all the other specs.

i have the 1600 mhA for my nexus and i love it. i'll hold my judgement till i see the battery performance for the incredible.

yah i agree, i love t-mobile and their rates. 8GB of internal storage will be meaningless when Google gives us the ability to store applications on the external memory card ( i know root ppl are able to do it already ). and 8MP is nothing compared to my Canon 5DII with its 21MP

Don't really care. The 8MP camera doesn't matter in the least--I'd be a fool to chase after MPs on a phone camera--and apps2sd along with up-to-date kernels means I have all the space I need for apps (like, as much of my SD card as I care to partition for it) as well as more access to the RAM.

It'd have come down to price. Consider me odd, though; I prefer the N1's capacitive buttons. Just feel more futuristic than, you know, plain old hard buttons. Would have liked an optical trackpad, though, alas.

I'll be honest with you. As an Eris user, I don't like nor do I need Sense. That's where the N1 and other top-tier Google phones are best. The Incredible does have the advantage in having the most up-to-date hardware specs. Whether that makes a difference depends on the person and their usage.

If the Incredible is rooted, a custom ROM takes out Sense, and doesn't just disable it.

Assuming the root is found immediately, and doesn't take four months like it did for the Eris, the Incredible has the overall advantage.

There is one thing the Incredible can not compete with, and it was mentioned in this thread, and that's priority in updates. It's a huge issue for me with the Eris vs. the Droid, but how many updates are you expecting? And with custom ROMs with the root, don't updates become irrelevant?

I had a TMO Nexus One but use AT&T for service. I liked the N1 so much, I sold it and bought an AT&T banded one. I agree with most of your motivating criteria, sounds like you should just get a N1.

Plus N1 is a little harder to come by so you don't see as many people carrying them.

My exact thoughts and did the same thing. Ditched the tmo N1 and got the ATT N1 and love it. Also feel like your part of an exclusive group since not many people have them

True, but you can still buy a 16gb memory card for cheap to add to the 8, and the 8 will be much faster at loading etc.

The fact that phones these days don't come with 20gb+ internally is pathetic. Memory cards are slow and still don't have much storage. I mean, on a pc a freaken terabyte isn't even that much these days. It costs something like $70.

youre comparing flash to hard drive, look at a tb solid state, it's like $400
and a $70 tb probably is only 5400 rpm, 7200 for the win

memory cards are slow cuz people buy the cheapest, get a class 6 i promise it's fast

N1 has several advantages over the incredible, though some of these are negated if you root of course;):
GSM>CDMA - GSM lets you do data and voice at the same time. Also, GSM is used in more countries than CDMA. If you are overseas, you can buy a cheap SIM card and continue to use your N1.
N1= No bloatware. Incredible is bound to have useless HTC and Verizon bloatware, which take up memory and have a tendency to auto-start.
Stock 2.1>Sense, though i haven't tried Sense 2.1 so this is just speculation based on my experience with Sense 1.5.
N1 design>Incredible design. Subjective yes, but i like the metal frame on the N1, while the incredible looks to be all plastic. I'm also not diggin the weird backplate on the incredible.
N1 will get OS updates first. Look at all the phones running sense 1.5. Not a single one has received an official OS updates and they are all still running 1.5. Most likely you'll be getting a new phone before HTC and Verizon decide to upgrade Sense 2.1 to the next version of Android. Look what happened to the poor Eris:(
No contract on the N1. If you are reading this forum, most likely you won't be happy being stuck with any phone for two years and you'll want break your contract once the dual-core 4G Super-AMOLED phones start rolling in. :D

Very true but i work for Verizon, so $40 unlimited everything and here it's the best service, win win

I'm getting the Incredible. I can't have a defective phone that'll tie up $500+ dollars, we know about the design and hardware flaws of the Nexus One and they're pretty serious to me. I don't know if the Droid Incredible will have the same flaws, but I hope not.

Anyway, the Nexus One on VZN seems to be comparable to bigfoot now, it might exist... there are some fuzzy evidence out there, but no one has seen it with their own two eyes yet. ;-)

you can get the incredible without a contract but it will probably be $700 (thats what the moto droid was)

and are you saying there will be no contract option for the nexus one verizon?!?!?

Corrections, both phones have AMOLED screens and both phones support 32gb sd cards. The Incredible also supports 802.11n and FM whereas the Nexus One does not. However, the Nexus One has dual microphones whereas the Incredible only has one.

I'm on the fence but I'm leaning towards the Incredible.

Sure, Sense UI does slow down updates however, Froyo and Gingerbread are supposed to remove apps from the OS and move them to the market thus slow OS updates won't be as important.

The 8gb internal flash may or may not be used for apps, this isn't confirmed yet. However, there is already a feature request in Android to support apps running on sd cards in the future this is a moot point.

In my opinion, the Incredible seems like a better deal.

Last specs I saw omitted any Wireless-N, just B/G.
