I have not looked into this in maybe a year, but at that time you could only activate phones that had esn's in there database, and that database excluded sprint smart phones, but did have some of sprints non smart phones such as the sprint branded incognito and htc touch pro 2 but even those were getting hard to get activated and none of sprints phones could be used to start an account.

You could go to boost website sign in and try updating handset with the esn you have from the iphone, if that dont work try calling them see if they can manually add it.

However I doubt either of those will work.

I dont know if you can use the iphone on boost using the cloned donor phone method Never had an iphone to try it with.

Well where can I find it on the iPhone? And what's the cloned donor phone method?

I do not know where the esn can be found on the iphone, if it has a removable battery its usually under the battery on a sticker.

in android you can find it under about phone in settings, but I have never even held an iphone in my hands so im lost as to where in software you would find it.

This link will tell you basics on the donor phone method will it work with iphone, dont know, it will (with some alternative work) work for any sprint android that I know of.

which android phone do you have on boost now?

You can use the android esn but if you cant get the nv items from the phone it wont connect to the 3g data.

As for wimax or lte you would have to have both phones compatible and get even more info from the donor phones.

Do you live close to jacksonville fl by any chance? I bought the full version of cdma ws and if you lived close I would try to get the iphone on boost for you I would like experience working with one.

I have the LG Marquee and what are NV items? And well the iPhone 4s supports 4g but the LG Marquee doesn't support 4g. And well I live in the west coast so no I don't live close to there.

NV items that is the partition that the phone number and network encryption passwords are stored.

If you want voice you only need the esn number, but if you want data the phone needs to sign in with its id and password to access the network.

That is a bit of an over simplification but it should help give you the idea.

Hhmm so to get the NV items, I just need to activate the iPhone successfully with the esn and then sign into the network with the I phone's I'd and password?

If boost will add the iphone esn to there system the system will do everything for you, it would be like using a boost mobile phone.

But if you can not get them to add the esn to there system then IF you can sucessfully change the meid/esn on the iphone to your marquee's esn and IF
You can sucessfully pull the marquee's HA and AAA password and put them into the iphone then the iphone will work on boost mobile, boost will think your still connected with the marquee.

To pull the HA and AAA passwords from the marquee and to put them on the iphone you would need programs such as QPST and QXDM and CDMA WORKSHOP that is provided on those 2 phones, the marquee, and iphone the information can be accessed, some phones that information just cant be accessed except by the manufacturer.

Damn man so much work. And what if I just jailbreak and unlock it?

It is a sprint phone right?

That is CDMA technology, the unlocked ones your thinking of are GSM technology they use sim cards that have the information instead of having it on the phone. With those you can unlock the phone so it can be used by other GSM providers. Then you just put a different carriers sim card in and you can use the new carrier. In many ways that seems like the better approach.
Too bad its not possible with CDMA.

I highly doubt if the Sprint iPhones will ever work on Boost. Never heard of it. There was some talk about it on hofo but after giving birth to a site that did it for you on a per device basis the hoopla quickly died down. Service was very unreliable and the only ones that really worked consistently were the metro and cricket ones... but they already allowed you to bring your own phone so what was the point you ask? Guess that's why the hoopla died down swiftly.

Plus soon after cricket announced their own iphone devices and there was another nail in the coffin. There's not much news around about this or even the possibility of it. I'd like to be proved otherwise. There as a huge market in flashing if we can get the iphone on boost. All the iphone fanboys will pay dearly for this solution.

Well yea the sprint iphones also have a sim card, so it is possible to unlock it and what not and wow

so is there like a 50/50 chance then to try activating it with boost?

Wow thanks for crushing my dreams -.- well then I guess I gotta face the truth

Well I could have let you go on until you lost money.

If you're an iPhone lover and like month to month, no contract, what about T-Mobile? If you have a GSM iPhone, they may work with you under the new deals they offer.

If you have the Sprint iPhone, you may be able to trade it for one you need.
