Which android should i buy ?

I'm looking to upgrade from my Galaxy mini, I have a maximum budget of 200 Euro. has any of you guys got an idea which direction I should head.
A friend recommended the HTC HD7, only problem is I cant find it on here anywhere. So kind of worried that I wont be able to change the OS if im not happy with the stock.
As this will be my first real android I don't want to rush into it. I dont mind paying extra for shipping. and will buy from anywhere if its possible to unlock to an Irish carrier.

The HD7 is a windows phone device, so it would probably be difficult to get to run android. I'm not sure what exactly is in your price range; hopefully someone shows up soon to help!

The Galaxy S2 (international version) fits in that price range. It's a pretty solid device for the average user. If you can pay up a little extra bucks, the HTC One X is somewhere near 200 as well (225ish?).

I'm not sure if they can be unlocked for an Irish carrier though. :l

thanks i willl look into the HTC One X I have seen the Galaxy S3 on here for sale for 350 usd i was wondering if I can change that to work on gsm. proberly not possible but considering the same phone is nearly 500 euro here its at least worth looking into. what

If the S3 was on T-Mobile, then it might. I haven't been up to date with T-Mobile's latest phones and their network antennas, but they use GSM. A google search might tell you

Linux is actually the kernel. Android runs Linux. Android is the OS. Getting Android to boot on a windows phone would take some work and without programming skills it would be next to impossible. You would have to get the drivers and firmware to work correctly under Android to make the phone usable.

The Galaxy S4 will be released soon so some people will be selling their S3 to upgrade. Might be worth the wait to get a better deal on a S3. For under $200 the HTC Sensation might be worth looking at.
