radio 5 live on htc desire??

just got the desire and can't seem to find a way to play radio 5 live over wifi. my old nokia 5800 did it fine (rm stream). anyone know a way? seems crazy that symbian s60 can do stuff android 2.1 can't

have you used Beebplayer?? It doesn't stream radio 5 live.
Anyone got any other ideas??

thanks i'll try and find it. Funny thing is I just noticed that I can also get 5 live on the nokia 5800 using the iplayer app for symbian but it's not available on beebplayer even though all other bbc stations are.
I can't get anything to play on the 'full' iplayer site using the Desire's browser. I thought it was supposed to have Flash??

I've just got an updated version of beebplayer and in the update notes it said "live radio is back!".

Give it another go.

You can't, you cant even stream 5 live on your PC i don't think?

Its to do with the rights of the sports they broadcast on there. If you can get it through the official iPlayer then its only because BBC can defined exactly who is listening to it.

If you don't mind spending a couple quid, I use an app called Radiotime to listen to the BBC. It's got streams for most bbc stations, including Radio 5 Live and 5 Live Sports Extra. I think it was around $3 USD. I'm using it in the States though, not sure if that makes a difference or not.

Hi - did you sort this in the end? Would like to be able to listen to 5 live and Talksport on my phone.

Not sure if this will help but I know it works on my HTC Touch HD. Putting the following address into the opera browser opens up WMP and streams 5live for me. I haven't got my android yet but would love to know if this works as I use this alot on Win Mo6 and will soon be moving to a android.

The address uses a .asx file extension which i'm not sure can be used with android, please let me know.
