I disagree completely.

Come on, quantify your disagreement. It is irrelevant without a reason.

I did say it was a bit harsh but there is so much more I do, and so much more that can be done with any phone that can run FB home that FB has to be a highly significant part of a person's communication repertoire for them to be happy with it totally replacing the launcher, lock screen and many basic front end things that they have become accustomed to.

Yeah. FB home is for people who think that computers are just for facebook and it rules their lives (a bit harsh maybe but..). The rest of us just use FB when we want to and plug it in in greater or lesser agree to what we use.

I actually use Flipboard to look at FB on my phone. It's awesome. I can aggregate FB with whatever other feeds I want in one place.

I highly doubt that but I'll play along.

You statement implies that anyone who actually wants FB home isn't too bright.
These forums as a starting point are filled with some brilliant minds who for whatever reason want FB home and don't think computers are just for FB.
Let's take it one step further and throw a FB widget into the mix....are the people who use those also shortsighted?

I have plenty of days when all I do is FB and nothing else--I don't see that ruling my life and it doesn't make me want FB home.
I've said in other threads--hell no, no way would I want the same blurry pics I see on FB on my phone.

And yes, you did say it was a "bit harsh" but I could do this all night. ;)
Lumping people into classifications and categories is what makes us shortsighted.

I don't live in FB so there is no way I would enjoy it taking over my phone that way. With that said, I've read the Chat Heads works really well and also works with your regular SMS/Text. I'm tempted to just try that, but I need to know if I can use it just for my regular SMS/Text messaging and exclude FB Messenger because I don't chat with my FB peeps (that's what unlimited SMS's for, haha).

Anyone know about Chat Heads?

^^^--- Look, I'm quoting myself. LOL

Anyway, I answered my own question regarding Chat Heads. I installed just the FB Messenger app and it has settings option to enable it for SMS/MMS also. :D
