Firmware 1.6
Mod Cyanogen 4.1.11.1
Build DRC 63

Last week I got and update alert for Google Maps. I tried to install it and got a
"Instal error" "Package file not signed correctly"

What's strange about it is, I already had the version it wantesd me to install. Version 3.1.2. It also doesn't show up in aTrackdog but does show in apps drawer and works fine. The market shows that I don't have it installed.

All other Google apps are working and show where they should.

Anyone else had this trouble or know what's up.

BTW ... this started before the C&D order.

May have something to do with new Market app and they may now be checking on more info in the "about Settings"

Like Tmobile did a MyAccounts app but originally only worked if you phone type was TMobile G1 ... if you were rooted you could go in an change your phone type from ADP1 to g1 and you could use the app...

They then updated the app for use with none G1 ... but still limited features ...

So this maybe a similiar control method being employed as to what apps can run on what platforms ...
