I'm new to the forum. Main motivation to join is that I'm anxious to try out the new Sprint Hero. I have been and continue to be a IPHONE enthusiast since day one. I will continue to own IPHONE and subscribe to AT&T but excitement for the possibilities of these smart phones is such that I am getting a feeling that this phone running 1.6 market (?) will be the first worthy challenger for the IPHONE. I my mind at least, it meets the first denominator in respect to the on screen keyboard. Mechanical keyboards are to cell phones like typewriters are to PCs. Second, I understand that tethering as well as something called sprint TV are available.

I don't think I've been away from my IPHONE for more than 1 hour over the past 16 months. I thing I like about the IPHONE being locked down is that at least compared to PC technology, it is exponentially more reliable. I think Apple controls things to such a great extent that ease of operation and reliability are some of the good by-products. Some of my concerns with the ANDROID or any other operating system for that matter are that the system will excessively lock up, slow down, be virus prone and generally become as sluggish as the a PC. I have been so impressed with the comfort of using the IPHONE that I purchased my first Mac computer and have not been disappointed.

I'm hopefully that the Sprint Hero, specifically, will force Apple and others to step up introduction of new apps and improvements to wireless INTERNET possibilities.

My interest is also tied into my investment goals. Disruptive technologies and products can be very lucrative. Information is crucial on all levels and that's what I'm hoping to avail myself to on this site.

Looking forward to it and thanks.
