So I Completed The Manual Root (FINALLY)...

any ROM you want. Whichever suits your needs.

To install, simply put the ROM on your SDcard (in the root of the card, not in any folders), reboot into recovery (hold home while powering on), and select "flash zip from sdcard", and flash the one you have on there. Each ROM is a bit different, some require a wipe when coming from a different ROM. They have instructions on the first page of the post on XDA (most do anyway)

Being as you completed the root manually, please try this. Bring up a cmd prompt, and cd to your sdk/tools folder. Once there please type the following:

adb remount
adb shell
reboot recovery

This should boot you back into recovery mode. The reason you got stuck on the boot screen is likely because you didn't follow the instructions flipz and others have posted. You must WIPE when flashing his ROM. There are instructions on how to do this on the Guide/FAQ.

If you are able to boot into recovery wipe both data and dalvik then re-flash the signed zip.

Let's try this step by step:

1. Plug your phone into your computer. Do NOT mount your SD Card.
2. Open up a cmd prompt and type the following (and yes you hit enter after each)

Code:
cd C:\android-sdk-windows\tools

Code:
adb remount

Code:
adb devices

STOP right here. Make sure after entering the above it returns something (which will be your Device serial number same as it was when you rooted it manually). If it doesn't show that, please let us know. If it does, please continue

Code:
adb shell

Code:
reboot recovery

From there, please do as I suggested above, as long as this boots you into recovery (The black screen with the green text).

18.How do I boot into Recover Mode from Power Off?
a.

1) Pull Battery (If necessary and stuck in a loop)
2) Press and hold the "Home" button
3) Continue holding "Home" while pressing and releasing the "Power" button

I understand that in other posts you said you tried holding down the home button, but I am thinking you did not do it correctly. Simply pull the battery, put it back in. Press and hold the Home button, continue holding it while pressing and the releasing the power button.

This should boot you into recovery if you can't get it via command line.

ok, that did work. i'm on the android system recovery screen.

now wipe? or backup/restore?

I understand that you are frantic and want to get this to work. However, PLEASE SLOW DOWN AND READ. I have already told you what to do.

Once in recovery, please wipe both data and dalvik, then re-flash the ROM (zip file) same as you did before.

There is no need to restore yet.
