Sprint is officially delayed until May 4th!

I got mine...So it's not completely delayed. I was the first one in the store to get one. Wasn't even a line because they were telling everyone they would not be getting them today!

This whole joke of a launch is 100% Samsung. The S3 launch was a case study example of precision compared to this.

Yet they supplied stores with more s4's than Apple did on the I phone 5 launch and than HTC on the ONE launch...even after the ONE launched weeks late?

not seeing the joke

trust me i would love to have more phones

I don't get to get mine until consumer needs have been met :(

just got rid of my second S4...Swapped it for an HTC One

#1. Slow....Browsing through pictures was painful
#2. Terrible cell coverage in my house compared to my Evo
#3. Kept stuttering when changing screens
#4. Camera was not as impressive as I thought it would be...

This is after factory resetting the devices. Took it back to Sprint, second one was exactly the same (you can see the picture of my OLD device a few posts up....)

I like the One a lot better!!!!!!

Just a quick question for any Sprint customer that has upgraded to the Galaxy S4. Or just ordered it online? (From what I hear that is about the only way to order it right now)

I am having to wait until Wed, May 1st to upgrade, and wondering what your upgrade price for the 32g Version of the S4.

Thanks in advance.

Good luck, mine has been fine. So in only a couple hours going by your posts here, you could exchange "2" S4's and get a One on top of that and use both enough to comment when hardly anyone else can even get anything from the Sprint store??

Sorry, I think not. I have had my S4 for about 24 hours now and still trying out new things and seeing what it can do.

...Look at the pictures in my posts before you make unfounded accusations....BTW do you see the date on the screen of my 1st S4. from earlier today.

Of course I took them back, I could not get phone service. It would not even connect to my Airave properly. After they looked at the devices at the store they came to the same conclusion and waived the return fee that is charged when swapping different devices.

Yes and that is exactly why I said what I did. The date on the One is from a Tuesday. If you got it today it would say SATURDAY. You said you "swapped 2 S4's for the One" TODAY in your post above.

Tuesday? Where do you get that from? Look at the Galaxy picture 2 posts above that .. It's today......Saturday April...27 on the screen of the S4....Not to mention if you drag the pictures to your desktop, right click, properties and look at the details (EXIF) information you will see when they were taken...

Would you like to see a picture of the 2nd uneven exchange receipt?

....Here you go

Not sure where this information comes from. My store is receiving inventory

limited yes, just as any high profile device had been

but there was never any official date announcement of a delay on Sprint's end that we were made aware of at the store

That is the date one person gave me, but come to think of it, he may have been trying to discourage me from buying the S4. He seemed pretty insistant that the Note 2 was the phone to have and he could set me up with it right then.

Ahhhh...classic sell what you have.

Personally I carry a note 2, will be getting an s4 from work and have a one on the way.

My in store comparisons ...the one is the winner in the screen and camera categories.

I have not spent enough time with both to comment on lag but reviews everywhere are tearing the s4 apart

I will wait until I have all three before making a true comparison/decision.

That doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence, but I figure it should at least be better than the S3 which is a good phone I hear, but the S4 should be better.
The only reviews I've seen ripping the S4 were mostly down on the packaging, not the package. Seems the non-techie in the press are more impressed with an alum case than what is in it. The places that have real techies on board are giving the S4 great reviews. I've read pretty much every review out there and if you filter out the "we don't like plastic" crowd, the reviews are very good overall.

As an iteration, I think it's a great step up for a lot of folks. But I also think that the hardware is starting to mature pretty rapidly, like home computers have been for years. It's getting harder and harder to get that "wow" factor in a new smartphone, IMO.

And back to the subject of the thread, our local Sprint stores and BB got their retail Sprint S4's in mid-day on Saturday.
