Apps2SD has somewhat spoiled users.
It WAS needed back in the day when phones shipped with just 180MB of storage or so, but since then manufacturers have obviously taken heed of how users use their phones and for a while, now ship with a minimum of 16GB which is in itself it a huge hike in storage capacity.
It seems that now you have to look a little closer at how much storage you are likely to 'need' over the length of time you'll have your phone.
Wether you like it or not, smartphones are still evolving, and as users, so should we. Media can still be stored on SD, leaving room for apps in the internal storage. Ultimately, if you get a smartphone that doesn't have the capacity you need, it's all on you. Simply wait until higher capacity phones are available or include this as a 'pro' when your comparing suitable solutions for what you need. RIP Apps2SD.
Btw, there was a way to transfer some app data to SD and have it link over. (might have been link2sd) but you may need root for this.
