AutoText Application for Android??????

The one thing I really don't want to give up is the AutoText feature on my BlackBerry. I've created many phrases using my very own short hand. This makes typing info I use on a regular basis quick and easy.
While searching I came across an app called FireKeys. It claims it allows you to add AutoText the same way you can on a BlackBerry.

This is the site describing the app:
http://www.firekeys.com

Does anyone know if this will work?
Are there any other apps besides this one that can be used for AutoText?

If this app works, then I'll definitely hop aboard the Android Train!

Welcome to the forum! :D

I think the app that comes closest would be Inserty.

I don't know BlackBerry (I'm an ex-Palm guy myself) but I'm sure you'll find this less integrated (and therefore less "smooth") than what you're used to. But that would be the case for any Android app. :rolleyes:

Thanks, but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for.
With BlackBerry I'm able to create my own predictive text library.
I can add as many words or phrases as I want.
For instance I could select a letter or combination of letters to use while typing, then they would be converted to whatever I specify.
Here's an example:

t = The
prez = president
bldng = building

So if I were to type:
t Prez is in t bldng

After hitting the Space Bar, it would convert to:
The President is in the building.
