(I hate posting a query about something so seemingly simple)

I googled around and can't find a duplication of the icon in the notification area of my new (since January) Eris running 1.5 stock.

I'll describe it: it in most ways resembles a little musical note, perhaps an eighth-note, but with a diagonal slash through it (not in a circle as the "no" sign).

Nothing running in the background, music-wise.

On page 47 of the user guide/manual is a list of all stock icons; it is not there.

No new apps have been installed for weeks.

Any ideas as to what it could be?

Good gosh, folks; now that is getting too easy.

How do I delete this thread? :D

That's funny because in the months I've had the device I have never silenced it, therefore have never seen that icon.

I wonder why it is not included on the icon page (47) of the pdf user manual.

Thanks to both of you, btw.

You couldn't see the forest for the trees! Haha. You would think they would at least show that symbol in the manual somewhere. Oh well.

LOL! I can just picture you fumbling around trying to figure out what the heck is going on. I can understand you thinking it had something to do with music.

Dang, I missed my chance to edit that first post.

I was going to go back and make it a post of "discovery" or something. ;)

Not too much in the way of fumbling around, though. I did check to make sure the device was running ok. Then I went into the manage applications area and looked for anything unusual; with the sole exception of the Hey Dork Your Sound is Turned Off app blinking in red, everything looked pretty ordinary, so I posted a question here.
