Hey guys...

So I think I did something stupid to my settings. I cant figure out what I did.

Basically, my data turns off when my phone is in standby or when the screen is locked. Then when I unlock my screen all these updates like whatsapp messages and wmails pour in.

I attached two screen shots.... on one you can see my locked screen and no LTE and when I opened it you can see my LTE connection.

Since I get my emails and messages with a delay now its become inconvenient
Can anyone tell me what I did and how do I go back to normal settings with instantaneous sync or updates?

Thank youuu

Vick, I can't see anything different other then your data off on the lock screen. In settings and data, there was nothing changed in there ?? You might have to do a FR, maybe an app you downloaded is causing this issue, sorry could not be of more help.

I know I changed something because I was having major battery drainage issues and tried to look for anything to help me. I figured out the problem with that but now my data stops syncing 'live' and there is a lag...messages would still show but 5-10 mins later...

Did you install any battery saving apps? Some of those have options to shut off data while sleeping.

The Note 2 lets you have full control of wifi while sleeping, but I'm not aware of anything native to the phone that is similar for mobile data. That's why I suspect an app.

I think you're correct in your assessment.

Is that shield icon in the notification bar juice defender? I never used it and did a google search which showed this app. The reason is that I noticed it's got a little red dot on it when it's in the lock screen and no red when unlocked. Maybe the red dot means it's in battery save mode?

She has mobile data, just not when the lock screen is on.

That's the only setting I remember that cuts off mobile data when the screen is locked. I remember wanting to get as much out of my battery then soon discovered I wasn't recg anything that required data until I turned the screen on.

But that was 6 mos ago back when I got the phone. I stopped using that saver as soon as I realized how long the battery lasted between charges.
