a Sprint store did me the same way, I preordered the HTC One and when it was released when I came to pick it up they didnt wanna sell it to me, I went to the corporate Sprint store and they sold me one with no problem.

Can I report that Sprint store that had me pre order and didnt wanna sell me the phone when it was time to pick it up? The manager there was rude and they were laughing at me. I really wanna report them, do I have a legit complaint anyone? I got the manager name also.

May as well report them, seems pretty extreme. What was their reason for not wanting to sell it to you?

Wow that is messed up. but I have experienced that as well. It must not been a spiffed phone or any signing bonus for them. I have that happen on my Optimus X a few years back, Walked in excited to purchase it and they wanted to sell me everything but this phone. When I did get it wow they took the air out of sails from that day on about my phone choice. This is why i like ordering it online. The website is nice to you only wants to sell you more things and cant wait to finish your purchase or over customer service. I feel good after my purchase. Whats also great I know my ups guy and he knew I ordered a new phone and was excited to get it to me. Banged on my front door for quite some time was in the back room and didnt even hear him. Then calling and they acted like I bought the best thing ever asked all these questions about it why I chose it and so on as we activated the new LTE sim card. I havent been happier about a new phone except for my Incredible back on Verizon. It saved my life so I do have a kinship with it. I just sold my Amaze 4g with accessories for more than I paid for it a year ago 230.00 which makes my upgrade out of pocket with free over night shipping 49.00

Just order mine today. Been using Blackberry for over 10 years, I'm going to have lots of questions for the forum for sure. Paid 129.99 thru Newegg, ordered the silver because it came with a $20 gift card. I already ordered my Otterbox commuter thru Amazon. I had signed up for the HTC trade in program too. Haven't really looked into that yet, not sure if I want to give up my Blackberry just yet. I have an older one, I wonder if I can trade that instead? Will look into that once I have the phone. I really liked Blackberry but Sprint not getting the new Z10 led me to android. I hope this phone is as awesome as claimed and problem free. Cheers

The Sprint store you preordered from wasn't a corporate store?
correct, I ended up going to get my phone from the corporate store after the other Sprint store refuse to sell me one.

thanks for response, they said because its a world phone they were not able to sell it to me. If that aint a crop of BS, my thing is that is fine if that is the reason they dont wanna sell it but dont have people pre order the damn phone then when its time to come pick it up then tell them you cannot sell them the phone because its a world phone.

They should have said this before I preordered the phone not after.

I have good credit.

I dont mind getting it on HTC website but I read that this unlock phone will not be friendly on Tmo network because not every city have 1900 mhz yet. Are you getting 4G on it?

The other advantage for me to buying from the HTC web site over tmo is that I saved $40 in sales tax. So in addition to no carrier bloatware, that was also worth waiting and extra week or so for the phone.

I was wondering if anyone has been able to get a hold of a black One and where they got it from. I've looked at AT&T, Amazon, and other places and so far a black one seems pretty rare. The only place I HAVE seen a black one is on the Wal-Mart site. Has anyone had any luck getting one from their local ATT store?

He said they only got 3 in, and they were all the 32GB models. He said he would text me as soon as they get the 64GB model in, or when it's possible for me to order one.

ah so nice. Thanks!. Now to decide if i want to get return my S4 for it. That MMS picture where everything is at a small resolution will annoy me.

Well now that the black one is out I'll be purchasing it very soon. Amazon has it for $148, but they won't allow me to keep my current data plan and services. Costco will be my likely point of sale, but for now they only have the silver edition. No need to pay AT&T a whole $50 more when there are cheaper options out there. And costco waives the activation fee as well. Quick question to anyone who's bought phones from third party retailers on contract: I am an AT&T premier subscriber, but on 3rd party sites they do not factor in the 23% discount I get. AT&T will still honor the discount, right?

I did not see this on the HTC Unlock that HTC is selling on their website and its this:

HSPA+ 42

SO it will not work on Tmobile network.

I have no read any post of this unlock phone that you buy from HTC and did it work on the T-Mobile network yet? :D

HTC has the Dev version on sell too and they do have it in stock. It is only $70 (you already come this far, what matters anymore?) more and that increase in memory is super nice.

I'm about 5 months beyond my Orange / EE contract expiry on my HTC Desire HD. I was waiting for the new phones from HTC (One) and Samsung (S4) hoping for a clear winner in terms of features and functionality, but I've been left a little disappointed.

My preference was to stick with HTC, simply cos I don't mind Sense and I've been on HTC since the old M3100, so perhaps there is a little brand loyalty. bless... However HTC were clearly moving away from the replaceable battery / memory card option, and HTC were historically battery heavy. My 32Gb memory card is pretty full as well, so I want more than a hard wired 32Gb!

The One looks awesome, but obviously gives me problems in terms of memory (though I see there aren't too many battery concerns vs the competition these days). The S4 seems nice enough but doesn't really look anything special, and I understand has limitations over what I can use the memory card for.

A 64Gb One would probably fit the bill, and appeared to be on the cards, but there seems to be no sign of one reaching the UK market. My Desire HD has lasted ok till now, but is starting to show its age and will need replacement quite soon I think.

Anyone heard anything about a 64Gb One?

There's not a lot of info about it in the UK. A couple of months back a few sources were told that it would come, but that the initial UK release would be 32GB. Since then, nothing.

I tried asking HTC last week but got a standard "we don't have any information, best bet is to watch our website" response. TBH I wasn't that surprised, since there are clearly still shortages of the 32GB units with many online retailers (including htc.com/uk). Would have been nice to get confirmation that it was coming though, even if a date would have been too much to hope for.
