Hello,

I like the Apex Launcher but i like TouchWiz simple & bright theme a little more, so my question is, can i have the home screen launcher animations & transitions on TouchWiz?

Another question would be, can i have TouchWiz Widgets, specially the weather widget on my phone when i am using Apex or Nova Launchers?

I tried the weather app with Apex. You can do it but it looks totally different. Not the pretty animated thing you get with Touchwiz.

Yeah exactly, i actually didn't think it was good to match the TouchWiz weather widget.

Is there anyway i could get different transition animation (home screen & drawer) in TouchWiz?

And thanks for your time & reply.

You're welcome :) and no, I don't think so. I haven't seen anywhere in settings you can change that. There is a touchwiz theme for Apex in the Play Store, but it has the same problem with the TouchWiz widgets.

Damn, i really like TouchWiz but i guess i will have to switch to a launcher.

Between Apex Pro & Nova Prime, i think i will go with Nova because i have read a lot of comparisons that say Nova is smoother & faster.

Are there any good looking weather apps which are reliable & optimized and not battery intensive?
I found a couple like "Android Weather & Clock Widget" and "3D Digital Weather Clock"

Any thoughts are appreciated :)

Seems to me like GO has been outclassed by Apex and Nova anymore. While the fellow above said he has read that Nova has a smoother experience mine is that they are interchangeable. Similar feature sets, similar looking, same experience in terms of performance.

Touchwiz has not been modded much for animations in any version and I'm doubtful you will see that change now. IMO TW will appeal to people who like clean and simple and no foo foo. In modern guise its actually a very good launcher when a few basic mods like the 4x5 grid and so on are added to it. Myself I like variety so I run both touchwiz and Apex and switch between them every so often to shake things up.

Thanks. Does that work with the messenger app in the home row too? The examples shown are all with apps not in the home row. (I don't know if that makes a difference or not).

When you switch back and forth between launchers like that... do your screen layouts stay intact? IE, if you have your TW screens setup just so and then you go to Apex for a while...then come back to TW... are the screens restored like you had them before in TW? (and vice-versa?)

Yes, your screen setups will remain with the exception of widgets that have been updated which may have to be placed back. When this happens there is usually a place setter where the widget was that says "could not load widget". Application icons and all settings will make be retained not just with apex but with any launcher. Just as an fyi it's a good idea to have a second launcher installed anyways regardless of any intent to use it. That way if the default launcher force closes on you android will automatically offer up the alternative launcher and you still have a functional phone while you sort out the issue with the other launcher. It happens every once in a while.
