I was trying to post a thread for s4 case and I thought I'd search for related post and I stumble upon this thread. I am an avid s4 user and I like it covered and protected. With that I don't just go for case alone but as well as with screen protectors. I am just happy as amazon offers s4 cases with skin protector that is perfect for my white s4.

I don't want to brag about the case I purchased but honestly its very comfy, durable and affordable as well. I feel lucky that I got this, honest!

Here's what I got anyway, MiniSuit Bumper Slim-Fit Case + Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy S4 !

Can anyone vouch for this website? their prices are half of Amazon and cheaper than manufacturer website obviously.

Reputable website???

OEM Galaxy S4 Case Neo Hybrid Satin Silver

Not sure but I think the mods have removed their posts to the forums in the past on the grounds that they are spamming. I don't think anyone has actually used their site and could report on reliability/quality.

They sell fake china knock-offs and there shipping is terrible. I bought the s-view case trying to save a buck. It's decent enough but you can tell its a fake, and it took over a month to get even though there website said it was in stock when I bought it.

I recently received my Spigen Neo Hybrid case in Metal Slate, Spigen aluminum home button set, and Spigen Glas tR Slim glass screen protector.

The Neo Hybrid case is fantastic in my opinion. Yes, it does change the feel of the phone to a more squared feel, but you get used to it. It actually feels better and more secure in my hand when making phone calls. The naked phone was so slim and slippery I always felt like I was going to lose hold of it. The case itself adds very minimal thickness/bulk to the phone for a dual layer case IMO. It fits so well to the phone it makes it look like the phone/case combo IS the phone itself. It has a very solid feel to it. The side buttons make them slightly easier to depress and feel completely natural to me when depressing them. Again, as if the buttons on the case were the phone itself.

I chose to install the aluminum home button first with a piece of scotch tape. I decided to install the brushed silver one and it gives the phone a classy and even more premium look. The home button itself is a must if you are going with the Spigen glass screen protectors. It raises the stock home button up just beyond the glass screen protector to about where it was factory. I was also pleased to find that the aluminum home button felt and operated like stock, and did not worsen in feel in any way.

The Glas tR Slim screen protector is also a win. This was my first time ever dealing with a glass screen protector. I was able to achieve a flawless dust-free install using a steamy bathroom and the hinge method as seen here: How To: Perfectly Install a Screen Protector - Hinge Method - YouTube The cutouts for the home button and upper sensors are perfectly executed and the protector mates up the edges like it was made for it (wait, it was!). The radiused, beveled edges give it a much more finished look than non-beveled protectors IMO. The thickness of the glass brings the surface up to just shy of what the case lip provides. The oleophobic coating works surprisingly well and the glass feels amazingly smooth.

All these accessories work together to create a finished package that looks like they are the phone itself. I took a gamble on trying these parts for the first time and I couldn't be more pleased with the end result!

Looks great! I just got mine in today. I didn't like the Incipio I had before, this one is much better looking. I didn't put any of the "jelly buttons" on, but I'm also not using a screen protector. Just the case, went with silver because 1) that's all Amazon had other than that ugly yellow, and 2) it goes with the white a lot better than the slate which I really liked also. Normally I hate cases with a lip that goes around the screen, but we'll see how this one goes for me. The lip is not as intrusive as other cases out there. Overall I really like this case, especially the built-in button extensions on the side. They are easier to press than the actual buttons on the phone. Sometimes too easy, as I've accidentally hit the wake button every time I pull it out of my pocket, lol.

My pics, first taken with the GS4, the rest with my iPhone. Not the greatest quality, I tried to save them with PS.

Not sure if any of you have found anything like this,
but I'm trying to hunt down a Belt Clip Type Holster
that would work with either a Urban Armor Gear Case,
or a Ballistic SG Maxx Case.

Yes....
the Ballistic SG Maxx comes with a Belt Clip Holster,
but the only way it fits is with the screen facing inwards.
I need the screen to face outwards.

Any help would be great.

speedlever, got my vertical belt case today from ebay.

The case has plenty of room for the GS4 with pretty much any case thats on the phone. Since my case is thinner then most there is a good space gap on the sides and front/back and the phone does move around some. The case would be really good for a thicker case up to .75 thick. I'm thinking of doing something to the inside where my phone doesnt move around as much as it does. The extra space does make it easier to take the phone out though.
The magnet that holds the top closed is pretty good. I dont see any issues with it coming off, but defiantly wouldnt trust turning the case horizontally 100%. At a slight angle I would, just not 100% horizontally. The case will have to be turned if sitting down though because of the size of it. This is where the horizontal case would make more sense. For $9.99 though either case is good. Just a matter of personal preference.

For anyone considering one, here is the link that speedlever originally posted for me. They also have the horizontal case. The seller gives the measurements so just measure your phone with your case on it and you'll know if it will fit or not.

Thanks sincarafan. I went ahead and ordered one as well the other day. I figure since it has a rotating clip, it takes the place of a horizontal case. ;)

If it has that much room in it, I might go ahead and get a Seidio Active case. With the kickstand, it will add some bulk (which I don't want) but it doesn't come any other way... yet.

I've tried the minisuit bumper... very minimalistic... too minimalistic for me. And also have a minisuit Kinnect case coming. At only $5 each shipped, I figured it was worth trying.

But I'm glad I have my GS4 in the Speck case. I dropped my phone onto a tile floor last night as I was dragging it out of my back pocket. The end caught my pocket just as it came out, pulled it from my fingers and it clattered to the floor. Completely unfazed... and undamaged. Even the case shows no evidence of being dropped. So I was glad I had something more than the minisuit bumper on. ;)

Edit: my holster arrived today as well. I have my GS4 in the Speck CandyShell case. While it fits somewhat loosely inside the holster, it is not banging around and shows no evidence of wanting to come out on its own if carried in the horizontal position. Overall, I'm well pleased with this el cheapo holster.

Now to continue the search for the right case to hold my GS4... and which will fit into this holster!

hey, for anyone who has one or knows....

is this, Spigen GLAS.tR SLIM, woth the price? what makes this better than cheaper ones etc?

going to put an order on Amazon for a few things and trying to figure out if i want this....

I haven't tried it, but the Amazon reviews are very mixed. Here is a link to the reviews about the S4 version, but if you read the iPhone 5 reviews as well, there are some consistent concerns:

S4 reviews only:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/community-...y-reviews&Go.x=16&Go.y=10&idx.asin=B00BSDSCZ8

S4 and iPhone 5 reviews combined (the two items share a page at Amazon as different sizes of the same model):
Amazon.com: Customer Reviews: SPIGEN SGP SGP10176 GLAS.t SLIM Premium Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Galaxy S4 (0.23mm) - 1 Pack - Retail Packaging - Oleophobic Coating

got a spigen neo hybrid, spigen bounce, and seidio surface with kickstand. i don't have the phone yet, but all three have different things i like about them.

the spigen bounce and the seidio both show lots of finger prints, but the neo hybrid doesn't.

the bounce and seido both have cutouts for the buttons which i like because it reduces accidental wake issues if buttons get pressed while in your pocket, but the neo has actual buttons instead of button cutouts.

the seidio has a kickstand, but is still slim which i like. the others have no kickstand.

the bounce provides easy on and easy off access of a tpu case, but the seidio and neo are a little more complicated.

the neo hybrid looks like it will provide the most drop/shock protection of the three and is almost as slim as the other two.

the neo hybrid is the best looking of all three imo.

i'll give all three cases a spin and see how they work in the real world once i get the the phone. right now it looks like the neo hybrid is in the lead and it will likely get first dibs as my daily driver.

seidio active case is what i'm going with.

the spigen bounce has loose fitment and doesn't fit the phone snug. kind of bummer as i expected higher quality.

the spigen neo hybrid is nice, but too bulky for me. the power button also allows inadvertent wakes if inadvertently pressed while in pocket or when pulling it out.

Yes, it's well worth the price in my opinion. My post and pictures above reflect that. I too read the Amazon reviews before I decided to purchase it and was not sure how it was going to turn out.

Like I said, this was my first time dealing with a glass screen protector and the Glas tR Slim is a home run in my view. As far as i'm concerned, most of the negative reviews about it on Amazon are for those who botched the installation process saying they got air bubbles trapped underneath and what not. I took my time and got a flawless install out of it...I couldn't be more pleased.

The screen is so slick and silky to the touch it's just off the chart. It feels so slick you just want to keep touching it lol. It repels fingerprints and keeps looking clean like no other. I've used the higher quality Seidio and Spigen Steinheil Ultra Crystal plastic protectors in the past and they were great, but they aren't even on the same level as the Glas tR Slim when it comes to feel and durability. After trying the Glas tR Slim, I won't ever go back. There's just no comparison.

As far as comparing to the cheaper glass protectors I can't really comment as I have no experience with them. But I do like the beveled edges of the Glas tR as it has no sharp edges and generally looks much more finished. Like others have commented, it makes it look like it was a factory option and not a flat sheet of glass stuck to the screen. I definitely feel like I got my money's worth and wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again in the future.

I got the Trident model cover (looks like it would be in direct competition with the Otter-box Commuter series cover) for mine. Just got a new headset (Razer Blackshark) and found the headset hole is just a little too narrow. I can plug the headset in, but it is rubbing on the sides and requires extra effort to plug in and unplug because of this. Plan to file it with a round file a little to get the pressure off of the headset plug.

I went with the exact same set NacsMXer, down to the chrome home button. Had it a week now and its the best case setup I've ever had. The glass went on so easy and looks and works perfectly. Love the Hybrid case. The phone definitely felt odd to grip and now holds nicely in hand. Power button is sensitive but not bad, haven't had any accidental power offs.
