Help Samsung tablet 2 10.1 micro sd card

Hello everyone.

I just purchased a Samsung tablet 2 10.1 and a 32GB micro SD card.
I want to save pdf files, pictures and possibly some audio files to this card (the 16GB of memory on the tablet is almost used up)

How do I do this, I connected the tablet to my computer but don't see the SD card (I do so it on the tablet itself in the settings)

I apologize if this question as already been asked, I searched the forum and all I found were questions about storing apps on the SD card.

You should see extSdCard when you connect the tab to your computer.

Use a file manager app to access it's contents from the tab.

when I plug the tablet into my computer i see a portable device GT-P5113. Inside this device I see the tablet and them inside the tablet a bunch of folders. What will the SD card look like?

Have you installed Kies? That's what I had to do. You might need to, to get the drivers. After that, you can uninstall Kies if you want to.

pardon my lack of knowledge but I don't know what kies is. I'll research it on google. What I can't figure out is why the tablet doesn't have the necessary software installed since it's designed to expand memory.

You can use the stock My Files app to move files between your /sdcard0 (internal storage) and /extSdCard (your sd card)

The Kies suggestion was to enable you to connect your tablet and pc to move files between the two.

I'm actually downloading the kies. It's not too bad better than the drag and drop I was using.

I'll get the stock my files app and get things moving.

by the way any idea if you can link the Samsung s3 phone to the Samsung tablet and get access to the 4G network when wifi is not available?

Yes it can be done. "Tethering"

very cool. I was able to connect both devised by useing portable wi-fi (hotspot) from my S3.

I'm starting to appreciate what can be done with this technology.
