Help I7500LVIJD1 showing on Firmawares

Hi,

I noticed that Samsung Firmwares have posted this I7500LVIJD1 firmware on their website, interestingly, it hasn't been country coloured.


Anybody know what it is?

judging by the "LV", i'd guess latvia

Letter Code is "JD".. so its for South Africa and afaik its a 1.5 release for the 7500L.

Basicly useless.

Last Brazil firmware for the Samsung Galaxy is online: I7500LVIJD1 (still android 1.5) 2:31 PM Apr 16th via web

ie. not Latvia, not Brazil, not 1.6, not much interest.

It's i7500L, useless... some of L releases are shown in i7500 too.

not useless you can remove amss and install it i think, similar to how 7500l users install our roms

its 1.5 tho

Thanks all, I got excited as it seemed to be version progression from JC6. Next time I will know to look out for the L prefix.

I'm sure some people in Brazil will find it useful!

I don't think so ... I'm from Brazil and happy with the JC6 version ... for some reason the phone model here is the I7500, even Samsung telling us we have the I7500L model ...

depends where you are getting that info from, if its from some app then dont believe it.
if its a 7500L you might like the radio stack of the latest firmware as it could be improved (who knows?)

as I knew, Samsung named S/W version of their phone by last 3 characters:
I7500 XX J B 2 XX=region
A=year: ex: 2001, B=2002,......J=2010.
A=month, ex: January, B=February , ...D=April.
1=date .
so, JD1 is meant April 1, 2010

The 1 doesn't mean 1st of April, it means it's the first firmware release for that month.

I just guess the last number is date, not version release number.
