Help need help clearing google maps

Did that also but from my phone under desk top would that be the same ?

Yeah. So you cleared data and cache from google maps app and the searches still show?

What about connecting phone to the PC (you could do this in root explorer as well) and going to your (internal storage) Android folder>data>com.google.android.apps.maps and deleting that cache folder in there?

What does that do I clicked on the folder and nothing happens

What folder? The word "this" in my previous post is a link to troubleshooting this issue.

Try this --> https://groups.google.com/a/googlep...category-topic/maps/base-map-data/SVmYOJklOYY

It states this:

Here's how you clear your search history in Google Maps:

1. To the right of the search box, you'll see an arrow pointing down. Click on it.
2. Click on "Edit saved locations" at the bottom of the box that pops up. (If you don't want Google Maps to save any of your future searches, you can also uncheck the box that says "Save locations automatically".)
3. Check the boxes to the left of all the searches you want to delete. You can also chose to select all by using the link at the top.
4. Click "Delete".

No such luck in clearing the search history. It cleared on the PC, but not on the phone, even after a battery pull. I had no idea that Google was syncing this and some other information.

There should really be an easy way to clear your search and call history. How about a side wipe, ala recent app list.
I fixed mine by going to the computer logged on then went into [url=http://www.maps.Google.commm
Clicked on the search button then deleted those 3 pisky searches
There was a small blog from cnet that showed me how
Hope that helped and also thanks to jbdan for the help in trying to help me out

I finally found The Solution to clear search history from maps! When you are about to search and you see your previous search results, scroll down to the bottom and choose "Personalized with my places" from there comes new menus where you can see all your previous search and destination results. So just pick one by one and hold until you get a popup menu where you can delete from. I just did it and deleted all search results :) all that clearing cache and data does not delete your search results.

I have literally tried everything I've read on the net to clear and I cannot clear a handful of locations. The locations are even on the web in Google Maps. I have clicked on the little gray karot, but I do not even find options regarding the search locations as most everyone else writes about. I have a Rugby Pro with 4.1.1.

I'll reply to my last post. I found that I had to go to www.Google.com/History to see my history of searches for Maps and regular searches using Google. When in Google.com/History click on Maps along the left side of the screen. All your searches will show up. You can select all then delete them all or you can pick and choose what you want to delete.

As I said in my previous post, I tried everything suggested from Clearing Data and the Cache to uninstalling Updates. If you have the same problem, try this.

When I'm on the computer and scroll down as described above, I do not see "Personalized with my Places". I have no selections whatsoever. Any idea why not?
