I couldn't get hold of one in Oxford today, so I suspect they're going to be hard. It's a T-Mobile exclusive, and none of the other shops seem to be even aware of it's existence. I think you're likely to be stuck with ordering from the T-Mobile website for the time being.
Anyone know if the ones sold on the website are simlocked?
I called the Milton Keynes shop (t-mobile) yesterday and they said it was not available on payg yet and had no idea when it would be. The link on their website says "coming soon" now too. I guess the payg tag-line was just marketing hype for now <sigh>
Hopefully it'll be available soon coz I really need a new phone and the pulse seemed to be it.
I went into the store at the Trafford Centre 4 October, and they had a poster up. The guy said they were getting demo units in 2 weeks, so I'd look for it this weekend.
I really want this phone, it's got everything I've been waiting for!
I went to my local T-Mobile (Ipswich, Suffolk, UK) this lunchtime, asked the bloke and he said it just came out today (Wed 21st October). I bought it and am using it now.
They offer two internet booster packages:
Text "monthweb" to 441 for 1 months internet access (
It appears t-mobile have been giving away the wrong sim card with these phones. I've had a 1hour chat with customer services and it appears that some of the sim cards that come with the phone are actually set up as 'mobile broadband' accounts (the ones that come with the USB dongles).
Long story short: the 'monthweb' and '6monthweb' internet boosters don't work with these sim cards and you pay a wallet blowing
I think I'm having the same issue. Phoned Tmobile on Sat to get my old number ported onto my pulse and the guy at the other end said that my sim was for a mobile broadband stick. He went away and came back and said it was ok but I've tried texting '6monthweb' to tmobile but I'm not getting any response (plus I've been charged
hmm... I wouldn't be surprised if this has happened all over the place. My wife got the same phone and she's got the very same problem too. And we got hers from a completely difference shop in a difference city altogether!
Haven't gone to the t-mobile shop yet. I actually got it from Birmingham and I live close to London so it's going to have to be next week now... Problem is the customer services person said I should try and get this sorted before my 7 days are up (to get a refund, etc.)
Not sure what will happen next week but if I were you I'd try and get it sorted before your 7 days are up too.
7 days? I thought the cooling off period for purchases was 14 days?
Thanks for the heads up, is there any way to check this when purchasing? I've finally got my money together, so I will be picking up this phone this week, and being able to check this in-store would save me an extra trip to the shops.

I don't know if they'd be able to find out from their in shop systems. From what I can gather if you get the t-mobile shop to call up customer services they should be able to tell you what the particular number is registered as though. You may need to topup the phone before it becomes active though (but that's not a problem as you must buy
I managed to get my 6monthweb switched on by phoning tmobiles customer service line. She was able to switch my call plan over the phone, so it doesn't look like you need to go in to the shop.
I'm now hoping to get back the credits used up on internet access for the last few days! Fingers crossed!
