Good ear buds for S4

I am a recent convert from iphone 5. I got kind of spoiled by the headphones and I'm looking for better quality set for the s4. The stock Samsung headphones are pretty crappy and I'm looking for a set that will meet the quality of the Apple units but I don't want to pay a massive amount for them. Any suggestions would be welcome.

I have an iPhone 5 and an S4 and I don't know why you think the iPhone ones are better. The Apple headphones are decidedly mediocre. I'd say that the Samsung ones are considerably better but neither is anywhere near as good as my Sennheiser CX500s and they weren't particularly expensive.

I kept the Earpods from my iPhone 5 and tested them along side my S4 earbuds. The Earpods are by far better. Better sound, more comfortable, and the material is better.

The S4 earbuds are uncomfortable. I couldn't wear them for longer than 3 minutes (didn't make it through Psy's Gentlemen).

I don't know why Samsung went with these in-ear style earbuds. They don't fit even if you switch the earpiece sizes.

My Sennheisers smoke them both but they are in ear phones too so I doubt you will like those either.

Anything made by Shure or Sennheiser is going to be a big improvement on the cheapo ones you get with a phone, but if you want decent sound reproduction you want in ear earphones or proper over tbe ear headphones.

I've tried the iPhone 5 earbuds and they fit & sound pretty decent. I currently switch off with my Klipsch S4A's and Beats Solo's

Please stop believing in marketing and start reading about brands like Shure, Westone, Audio-Technica and many more. You will learn, that no single audiophile has any Bose or Beats equipment.

Ahhh.. i really love those T1, add Dacmini and WA6 for tube option or Dacmini and B22 for SS option the result... is bliss

For earphones, I would go with the stock ones.

For headphones, I would go with my Sony headphones.

The same convention can be applied to other comparisons of buds. The fit is key and the most subjective weight. Conversely, a bad fit with great buds equals bad sound to the listener.
