What are you guys using to play music?

I've been using Google Play Music lately however my SD card just arrived so I may look into switching to another app. Google Play Music doesn't offer much in terms of safely changing songs while driving. The widget is sort of small and I have a hard time reading what song is playing from the distance to where my phone is mounted.

Additionally, I'd like to be able to change tracks by short-holding the up or down volume buttons. I was able to do this on my jailbroken iPhone using Activator. Is there something similar out there for our phones?

Also, how do you get that stupid Samsung audio player to stop auto-playing some lame song when I plug my headphones in? I know there are apps and what not out there to stop it, but that also stops the headset from working with phone calls. I just want Samsung to stop playing that song -_-

I use the stock player and PlayerPro. I prefer PlayerPro as it has better functionality and the widget is much nicer looking (it can have a transparent background for a start) but, frustratingly, it doesn't show the track names on my BT car stereo so I use the stock player in the car.

I can't even find the Samsung player in my app list. What's it called?

[Edit]
I found out how to get PlayerPro to send the track names over BT. I just needed to turn on AVRCP in the options under Audio.

PlayerPro now gets my unreserved support.

The only options I have in Settings are:

-SoundAlive
-Adapt Sound
-Play Speed
-Music Menu
-Music auto off (option to choose when to auto turn-off)
-Lyrics
-Smart volume
-Voice control

That's it. No setting for music auto.

You already mention it on the list there :D

-Adapt Sound
-Play Speed

-Lyrics

The Music auto off setting does not appear to have anything to do with a headset. The only options within it are "After 15 mins, after 30 mins, etc" Time-based options. Trust me, that was the first thing that caught my eye.

Hey I see you having some problems with the Google stuff well since they changed the policy and want to pay for everything. Just go to the playstore and download jet audio it has many wonderful things to it but check this out you can get the free version or get the plus version. Get your own free mp3 and ham you still on top and can give 2 fingers to Google.
