My S4 darning battery super fast, i don't know what happened last night when i went to sleep it was at 80% and in morning only 50% remains....usually it is about 10% or less....is it SD card again?....two days ago my SD card said that i need to format it ( Kingston 32 GB class 10) ...i did put all my data back......how can i check what is draining the battery so fast?
Please help...

probably won't show you enough detail, but check the battery in the settings>more>battery section and see what was eating up the juice. My guess is that it will say something like "Android System" or some other generic category.

Other than that, its a good idea to have a better battery monitor installed, I use "Better Battery Stats" but its a paid app.

on another note....why don't you keep your phone plugged in through the night while you sleep?

Mine just started doing the same thing, and my battery screen claims that the culprit is ... the screen (at 56% of battery usage).

I don't know why the screen is turning itself on at night, but I don't want it to. (I just tried setting tasker to turn off auto-brightness and drop the brightness down to zero at night, but that didn't work -- probably because I suck at tasker.) Is there an easy (or semi-easy) way to put it into some sort of power saving mode at night? I still want it to sync and do all its usual things, but would prefer if it did them without turning on the screen.

(I suppose the REAL answer to that is to just plug it in at night, but the nightstand outlet availability does not make that an easy option.)

I use power saving constantly to get me through 12-18 hours before a charge. People say having voice unlock ("Hi Galaxy") drains battery but I can't see why, the mic only activates on the lockscreen which is usually for a second or two maximum. NFC doesn't seem to make any visible difference, and I have been told Smart Stay is anti-battery life too, but surely the camera only activates when the eye icon lights up to check?
