Help My Verizon Temporarily Unavailable

Looks like they finally put up the banner on there website and signing in to your account is temporarily unavailable. ALSO, maybe this was there before but it states 4/16-4/19 Activation is FREE ONLY during that period.

I was on earlier around 1-2 this afternoon and the site was wicked slow. How can activation be free only between 4/16 and 4/19? The phone does even come out until 4/29?

yeah it was quick around 4:30 when i was placing the preorder until I had to call verizon about my account and by the time we finished it was back to being slow.... cant do anything now on the site....

Verizon is ridiculously slow if not impossible. It took me over 30 minutes just to pay this months bill. I've been randomly trying to put my pre-order in, haven't had any luck yet though.

When I kept trying to "upgrade my phone" nothing would happen...it would keep stalling....VZW keeps touting this fantastic new "My Verizon", but what good is it when it doesn't work?

Finally managed to get my pre-order in and done after, strangely I switched from Safari to Firefox. Last night, it was going slow on Safari so I switched to Firefox where it didn't work at all! Then I switched back to Safari and it worked fine.
Odd.

Firefox doesn't even allow me to login, IE allows me to login but clicking anything after that either stalls out or just never goes anywhere. They are either getting more pre-orders then they thought or someone is attacking them.

It does that to me every single time I try and upgrade. Very aggravating...

I'm not worried about it selling out. I just want to order the damn thing and get it over with.

I wonder if the 4/16-4/19 free activation applies to only new contracts. Hopefully its free for current contracts as well, if I can't get in tonight.

The website is being bogged down by our presence and ordering. My order failed 12 times last night and it only worked this morning. Those of you pre-ordering will have to be patient.

I can get as far as the Upgrade Phone Page then it goes to a default page(time out page I assume). Been that way for the past hour for me.

Same problem here, must have taken me 20 attempts to get the order completed but I did it. Must have been the hundreds of 4-letter words I used.

Arrrrgghhh!! Been trying for a couple of hours now. Sheesh, you'd think a communications company could sort their servers out better. As someone else said, maybe the new "My Verizon" isn't working out too well. I guess I'll keep at it but this is frustrating. I keep getting stalled or get put back at my vzw. I want to get this ordered too! Maybe it's those west coasters ordering after dinner

When I ordered this afternoon, it wouldn't take the promo code and defaulted to free overnight with no other options.
Seems like VZW's webmaster is overloaded and confused.
