I'm on a share everything plan with my husband and daughter. My husband's phone is off contract, but there is more than a year to go on mine and a year and a half on my daughter's. I'm starting a new job next week and the company will give me a cell phone, so I will no longer need mine and don't want to carry two phones.

Can my husband activate his number on my line and drop the line that is out of contract? He absolutely has to keep his phone number. He could even keep my phone since it is a considerable upgrade over his.

So the question is could you add his line to your plan, switch numbers, then cancel his line since it's out of contract? Not sure. I'd think you probably could.

Thanks. I'll just have to call Verizon. He's already on my plan. I want to go from 3 lines to 2. It may complicate matters because he is the primary account number.
