I just got my note 10.1 yesterday and so far I love it. Its powerful, stylish, fast. But the more I use it the more I question, whats the point of it? I don't have Facebook or Twitter (nor do I care to) I don't waste countless hours reading, Web browsing, watching netflix, im not into simple games such as candy crush or angry birds or whatever, I rarely use email. I did have fun playing around with photoshop but I feel like if thats all its good for theres too much wasted power. I cant think of any productive uses for it (maybe im thinking too hard?) But I would certainly love to feel a dependence towards my tablet. Are there any serious games or music softwares I could use to produce electronic type music you would recommend? I start college in a couple months soni hope I can get some use out of it there, and im too scared to use it at my job as an electrician so not much use there. Is there a way I can kind of interllink my phone tablet and laptop? Please pardon my lack of technological knowledge, forum knowledge, and rambling. Thanks in advance

No point. Send it to me.

:D

Welcome to the forums, ghost.

It's a device to be a "sort of notebook computer," in my view of it and other tabs. I use my tab quite a bit for better screen size on certain games and web browsing.. the Note 2 is great and with me all the time; but the tab fills in when my laptop isn't practical to take with me and the phone is being a phone while I use the tab for this or that.

It fills a niche... I'm waiting for a much larger tab.. I mean really big like 12 inches or so. Nice case with it and no more laptop keyboard, etc.

I wonder if that'll happen. ;)

I certainly get a lot of use out of mine at university, using it to take notes and complete readings that have been set (much nicer to be able to comfortably hold something than read it off a laptop screen)

In what way do you want to interlink them?

Haha nice try ;) and thanks for the welcome. I just keep hoping to find a greater purpose than casual use, it boasts too much for that. Side by side next to my mom's new ipad mine blew hers out of the water in every aspect we could think of with the exception of graphics. It was pretty close with retina display so it does look a little better.

I want to take a picture on my phone and have it on my laptop and tablet, or the same with music or word documents, etc.

It is going to be handy for you in college, that's for sure. Having the SPen gives you an advantage over other devices in that respect. Since you bought an Android device you bought into the Market. I would just search the Play Store and Amazon markets for useful apps for your purpose. I know there are a couple of apps to make music. Try MorphWizard or NodeBeats for fun. That mighthead you in the direction you are wanting.

You can use google drive or dropbox, Google drive will host pictures, documents and such. I use it on my phone, my note and my pc at home. There are several other options too, just search the play store and read reviews. In my opinion Google Drive has the most to offer. You set it up to automatically upload your photos.

The note can be as productive or as playful as you want!

I mark this as another one of those pointless posts. No one can tell you why you bought a device. Most people usually buy products that they "want" or "need", either way, it is wise to at least research the product first. Just because you buy an item doesn't mean you have to keep it. There is a method called refund unless of course you've been holding on to it for a while trying to figure out why you bought it.

You wrote that you don't spend countless hours reading or browsing web pages. You might think about that before you go to college, since yes, it requires countless hours of both those tasks.
