Note 2 or GS4 on sprint?

Neither! Wait till tri-band LTE compatible phones come out within the next month or so. GS4, HTC One, and Note 2 are NOT compatible with Sprint's upcoming tri-band LTE!! These phones can only support LTE 1900 band. By the end of the year, Sprint would turn on LTE bands 800 and 2500...the 800 band is of particular importance because of much improved coverage and in-building penetration.

My guess is that all the upcoming tri-band LTE compatible phones from Sprint will sport Qualcomm S800 chip. (S800 is a spectacular chip! It is worth the wait!)

There's always something new going to pop up the minute you get whatever you get. It's like that with everything. It depends on how badly you need a new phone.

If you decide you want to change now: I love my note 2.
I had a Note 2 since October last year, bought it sim free, now my old contract is up so I sold my Note 2 (Titanium) and took a new contract out on an Amber Brown Note 2, thats how much I like them lol.
S4 looks a nice device but I'm happy with my Note 2, I would miss the stylus to start, the S4 screen isn't alot smaller tbh but again the Note 2 screen is just right for me, not too small and not too big, also a reason I didn't wait for the Note 3 is mainly size as its pretty much definate the Note 3 will be a bigger screen.

Pretty much everything.....calls, surfing (occasionally), texting.....I basically keep my life organized with it like calendars, checkbook balances, etc. At work I stream music/news most of the days....pretty much everything.
Jore I think the Note 2 would be the right device for based on the list of things you currently use your S2 for. That stylus and the handwriting recognition it implies will definitely speed up and simplify your organizational tasks and the specs on that device make it perfect for streaming activities in your area. That insane battery life most Note 2 users reports is another plus that makes me thik the Note 2 is right for you.

Does it make sense to get the Note 2 if I already have the Note 10.1?:) Oh yeah, forgot to mention I have the Note 10.1. Is there an advantage to having both?

Judging from Caloy's experience yes. The Note 2 is way more portable than the Note 10.1. I've seen people using them on the bus on my way to work and while the Note 2 is quite large it can still fit in your pocket. No way is the 10.1 fitting in anyone's pockets. So ask yourself Jore; Do you need the stylus or not? Do you need a new device right now? If yes to both the Note 2 is a no-brainer, if no to the 1st question then go for the S4 or if you can, wait for the Note 3 and still get the stylus goodness with the absolute latest OS enhancements. The latest rumor is that the Samsung Galaxy Note III will be announced in Germany in September. If that happens we can expect them in the US in time for the Christmas holiday season.

Last weekend I had the option to upgrade to the Note 2 or GS4 coming from a GS3. I got to play with the GS4 but i always wanted the Note 2 due to it's size. I went to Best Buy and the salesperson told me "the GS4 is cool has great tricks and things to show your friends what your phone can do". he was absolutely right so i went with my initial decision and am very happy with the Note 2. I can use remote desktop to my work PC and it looks and works great among other things. they're both very good phones but one is larger while the other looks cool with your friends IMO.

If the note 2 gets an update to 4.2.2, will lean towards the note. I can't wait for the note 3. My sg2 is just annoying the crap or of me, to many issues.

Well you are in luck!

Note 2 is going to have 4.2.2 forsure, Samsung has been working on it for a while, they should of had it done by now but they said something about working on a new TW so its going to take longer, and no official release of that yet.
and theres been talks that it will also have key lime pie whenever it is released to the world!
