ok..so here it is..Stock76.
a completely deodexed, debloated, stock rom.

Stock78 is the updated, final version.

Instructions
1. make a backup to your external sdcard
2. Download rom, place it on your external sdcard
3. boot into CWM recovery
4. wipe data/cache/dalvic
5. flash rom from external sdcard and flash Launcher
6. reboot system, set up your google account
7. If/when set up asks if you want to restore your data, click no. un check the box.
8. restart
9. enjoy [/B]



since its deodexed, rom will take a few minutes to load. Be patient.
If it boots up, powers down, and reboots..thats fine. Means its working.

OK everyone. I flashed this, and it works very nicely. Fluid, smooth and peppy, more so than my stock firmware after a data wipe, I like it!

As of right now I have only flashed and booted, and I'm not signed into Google yet so there is a bit more I need to check out. So far so good!!

previous versions i had would unroot..ill see if i can find one. but it wont put back odex files. i dont think there is a way to reset your call statistics..that info is server side
you can use Supersu to unroot also

yes there is a way, to do it manually witch involves using root explorer or any other root browser. or you could do it manually. just have to edit the file in "system/vendor/bin/xml/eri_metro.xml. once you find that, scroll to where you see "ERI TEXT = MetroPcs" and edit that. You can do this within the rom zip before you flash it as long as you have notepad+ and 7zip
i made a flashable zip for that but for some reason it keeps deleting the file all together. ill fix it after i enjoy some taco Tuesday.

hell yes and i must admit i thought id get a newer phone but id rather go back to the motion its twice the phone this is... seriously i never had any problems with the motion and at stock it beat this premia

short stock rom is nice, no problems. nice boot logo. if i could get my 4g to function properly id compile cm 10 for sure. but i tether and depend on my 4g heavily so idk...

oh the rom did unroot but recovery is fully functional so now all i need to do is reset lifetime calls i guess.

Flashable zip -taken down for repair

Ah ok, well I'm not sure what to do at this point. I want a new phone with a bigger screen. I don't want the zte. So I may just use my hd2 and wait for some other phones to come out. 4g works for this rom just as good as it did out of the box..

This is not even the same thread about 4g drops.
4g works from stock as well a this modded stock ROM. My entire point about my 4g drops/loss of thread is some people are having issues that I would equate to inferior quality hardware.ie this phone is like a hyuhdai no one really wants one but they are cheap.

I was thinking the same but i don't know if Zepplinrox will like it if i took it upon myself and included every single tweak he has v6 supercharger, multi operation memory tweaks, app optimization, battery tweaks... into a community rom. everything is a bunch of scripts, maybe he dont mind!!

As to the 4g problems ive been having it seems that as long as the phone is on its face instead of its back i have no signal problems at all. altho i did add a tweak to increase transmit times.

this is true..but coming from the lg esteem, i seriously think this phone still blows it away. im actually pretty impressed with its performance, reboot speed, battery life and data speed.
i only notice the 4g dropping alot when im in my house or when i take my phone out of my pocket. even at 1x/ev its still pretty fast. im happy with the purchase i made.
just wish there was more development

I get the same issue when I'm at my university, and as soon as I go outside my 4G comes back. At first I thought it must be the building, but when I'm at Walmart, or my house I don't have a problem. This takes me back to old Tmous days. I would get great signal out and about with my hd2, but as soon as I'd go inside of my old house, 3G/Hspa would be rendered obsolete. Then I would be stuck sitting by a window just to make a phone call... Which then led me to believe it was just the GSM technology -vs- CDMA. LTE is just an advancement of the GSM technology, and have done a lot of research regarding the issues I was having. Tower location, signal strength, and quality of the antenna band all play a roll etc. So in the end I think CDMA is by far a superior technology
and have never had a problem with any CDMA based company's in the past. So if this is just a bad quality antenna band, which I hope it is just that, and not Tmobile messing with things I guess I will find out. I have heard the hd2 also had a inferior antenna. Who knows, I just hope things stay the same with Metro. Otherwise I will be going back to Virgin mobile. I never really had a problem with Tmobile as a company, I just want a service that works.

its gotta cycle thru..airplane mode will do the trick sometimes too..pretty much just depends on where youre at. im pretty sure its mostly just a cheap antennea or bad placement like the old iphone 4. my house has always been a black hole for service on any phone i had and even my roomates who are either on tmobile or at&t. but as soon as i step outside..im golden.

if you use something like nova launcher, apex, or launcherpro..you can set "activities" widget wich will let you access the full hidden menu..which also has an option to clear lifetime calls and data. not sure if that will help you tho.

Bugs I encountered....

1. Initial flash broke root. Easily fixed with some motochopper.
2. Stock browser does not sync bookmarks with Google account. It tried, but they never showed.

yes it does break root from what ive experienced..due to the data wipe..i am actually at this moment fixing that for the next update, as well as some zipalign, init.d support (which i dont think it needs but wth) as well as a few apk swap outs and a status bar change.
thanks for posting those bugs tho.
not sure if stock browser ever actually synced google bookmarks..i kept chrome on my version and love it..but i will def look into it

Wifi works just fine for me using this ROM, maybe you have an app/widget interfering?
